Daddy Of The Day - Melky Cabrera

Today’s Daddy of the Day is Melky Cabrera, outfielder for the New York Yankees. I am featuring Melky today because he was the ONLY Yankee to score yesterday in their loss to the Cleveland Indians. The Yankees season will probably soon be over – the Indians are kicking their asses, and there is virtually NO chance of them being able to make it to the next round of the playoffs. So I’m afraid this will be my last Yankee Daddy until next season. (Sigh)…

Melky, 24, is frequently seen hanging with his teammate, fellow Dominican, and best friend Robinson Cano (see below).

Melky’s nickname around the Yankee clubhouse is “Leche”, which is the Spanish word for “milk”. However, as anyone who’s ever worked in a restaurant with Spanish-speaking employees would know, “leche” is also filthy slang for ANOTHER white, milky fluid (use your imagination). I wonder if THAT has anything to do with his nickname…

Got Melk???
