OMG - this is BIG. Apparently, Harvey Weinstein, the owner of Project Runway, negotiated a secret deal to move the show to the Vajayjay, er, LIFETIME Network. NBC/Bravo has gone to court to stop him.
Read the entire story from the New York Times here. The GOOD thing about this move would mean that Bravo would have to give us Season #5 VERY soon.
Many thanks to Joe - who "came out" today...as a fan of my blog (via email)! I told him he was VERY brave, that he was BORN a fan of DavidDust, and there was NOTHING that anyone could do to change that. DUST BUNNY PRIDE!!!
As always, keep those emails and comments coming...it REALLY keeps me motivated.
i'm here, i'm a dust bunny, get used to it.
ReplyDeleteWow! While I was reading your dancing post and commenting, you posted this! GMTA!
ReplyDeleteLove you! Love your hair more!
Joe - not only did you "come out" today - you made almost made me pee my pants! EXCELLENT comment!!
ReplyDeleteAnd Joy, I am SUCH a dork that I had to Google "GMTA". And you are correct - great minds DO think
alike!
XOXOXO
I guess I'm a dork too, cuz I had NO idea what that meant!! ;)
ReplyDeleteThis kind of upsets me a little...I LIKE Bravo...I HATE lifetime...what to do, what to do...I'll still watch PR, who am I kidding.
Bravo better step up and do something!!!
Love you Tranny!

All in the name of Fashion ---
ReplyDeleteJust bring it on!
wow, that's majuh (as Posh might say). I've never watched Lifetime before...guess this will be my chance.
ReplyDeleteThis news does not thrill me - except the part about the next season starting sooner rather than later. I just hope Lifetime doesn't muck it up.
ReplyDeleteApril - I tend to agree - this doesn't seem like a positive thing for the show.
ReplyDeleteAnd what I'm REALLY afraid of is that they will 'tone down' all my fabulous fashionista gays for the more conservative Lifetime audience. Let's face it, Bravo is pretty much NBC's "gay network".
The first thing I wanted to do was scream "No," but I don't want to get fired. I can't stand Lifetime. It's the rape/empowerment network and the closest thing they've done to covering something with gay people was "Gay, Straight, or Taken" where a woman goes on a date with three men only to end up embarrassed because she never picks the right guy. The one who is always picked as the gay one usually is the one who is available, and it was supposed to be a social-experiment kind of thing, but it just comes off as offensive and unfunny.
ReplyDeleteSailor - Holy Crap! I forgot about that 'Gay, Straight, or Taken?' fiasco!!
ReplyDeleteI can see it now - Lifetime will be changing the show to "Project Knitting Circle".
Oh the HORROR!!!
I can see it now...'Project Knitting Circle' will be shown directly after the Jane Seymour/Susan Lucci Movie of the Week. This is NOT good...
ReplyDeleteSailor - "Rape/Empowerment Network"...so true.
No, it's not good!
ReplyDeleteI used to IM a lot and learned those acronyms for things. IM = instant messages. (just in case)
Beth, I asked on your blog but never got the answer ... you have 6 children? (such a beautiful family for sure)
Joy - in case our Trannybeth doesn't see your question: She has 5 kids and 2 adorable GRANDkids (Tranny - I hope I got that right!!) You should go back a few weeks on Beth's blog and read the story of her reuiniting with her eldest daughter - it is truly heart-warming.
ReplyDeleteGo Joe! And Lifetime? Are you frickin' kidding me? Ugh.
ReplyDeleteDoes this change mean that contestants who, go on Project Runway will have to be 70 years old or older, or one of thoses emotional soccer moms! I suppose the challenges will involve designing updated versions of mom jeans or more trendy looking depend diapers!!
ReplyDeletejoy, tranny is right. 5kids and 2 grandkids! Dang! That's alot! Which blog do you write on regularly?...you've got a few in your profile!
