Yes bitches, I found out last week that Dust Bunny Dan and I will BOTH be in New Orleans for Southern Decadence over Labor Day weekend (see an earlier post here). Furthermore, we will be staying basically 1 1/2 blocks away from each other (see the French Quarter map I doctored up, below). For me, that's just a quick one-minute stumble down Bourbon and St. Louis Streets.
This could get very, VERY ugly...
And BTW, do you remember the controversy about former McCain endorser Reverend "The Catholic Church is the Great Whore" Hagee? Remember how he said that Hurricane Katrina was God's wrath on New Orleans because they were planning a "Gay Pride parade"? Well, New Orleans wasn't planning a Gay Pride parade per se, but they WERE planning Southern Decadence. I have to say, Decadence IS pretty DECADENT (you have to see it to believe it) - but I think God has/had better things to do than to intervene on behalf of crazy fundamentalist gay-haters.
I CANNOT believe that you bitches are getting together WITHOUT ME??!!!!! That is SO not fair???!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am screaming....and I know both you trannys better take lots of pictures!!!
love you...still....

Several years ago a me and my friend Kari didn't have anything to do for Labor Day weekend so decided to go to New Orleans. I didn't have a clue about southern decadence. We drove down and planned to drink all weekend. As we were walking down bourbon street looking for a place to eat on our first evening there, I kept noticing drag qeens and tons of guys in cut off jean shorts. When we got back to the hotel the front desk clerk told us that a festival was in town. We showered and got dress and hit bourbon street like a bull in a china shoppe. Midway through the night we finally realized it was decadence. Let's just say, I did some things that as illegal in most states. It was the first time I actually stood on a bar ans stripped to my underwear. Guys kept giving me money to show more and I ended up making about $75 dollars that night. It was so much fun. That's my decadence story. You should have a good time in New Orleans. Please be careful because it is a criminal element there that pray on tourist.
ReplyDeleteI have always said that New Orleans is the adult Disney World.
TrannyBeth - What makes you think I'm going to be sober enough to operate a camera?!?
ReplyDeleteMike - This will be my 5th trip to Decadence, and my 7th trip to New Orleans. I have also broken many, many laws while down there. Luckily for everyone else, I did NOT strip down to my underwear. :)
Darling Mike, on behalf of myself and the entire Dust Bunny Nation, I would like to FORMALLY request photographs of you - in your underwear - at the bar in NOLA! WE WANT TO SEE THE GOODS, DADDY!!
XOXOXOXO
I don't think so. Thank god there were no camera phones at the time. This was about 6 years ago. I'm only 5 hours away from New Orleans. When I was in college, we would drive down, party all night, sleep in the car and drive back the next morning. The city of New Orleans has this effect on me. I've spent many New Years Eve, Mardi Gras, football games and other events half naked on bourbon street.
ReplyDeleteDarling Mike - Then on behalf of Dan and Myself...we would like to request a return engagement of the New Orleans "Mike In His Underwear Show". We'll bring dollar bills...
ReplyDelete:)
Those days have long passed. I'm an adult now.......hahahahahaha. I might want to run for political office one day and I don't want to leave any evidence.
ReplyDeleteWell darling, you've already got my vote!
ReplyDeleteI've been to New Orleans a few times, once with my straight brother who wanted a driving partner to make the trip and I was unemployed at the time so I went. Although we had different agendas, we both had lots of fun and kept up with that the other one was into and I need to go back, with or without my brother. I love "public sex" and have done some of that at a few functions in Washington DC and Atlanta, and the woods in Cherokee Park in Louisville and Riverview Park in Frankfort. Maybe I need to ask off for Labor Day.

Travis - Decadence is full of public sex. Every year they try to crack down, but every year I see people getting busy smack dab in the middle of the street.
ReplyDeleteDid I mention that Southern Decadence is a TON of fun?!?!?!!!
:)
Well, this should be interesting! I love New Orleans but haven't been since Katrina, which was also Ellen's fault since that's where she's from. You guys have so much power. Who knew?
ReplyDeleteAre any of you old enough to remember when Anita Bryant (former Miss America and orange juice spokeswoman) got all that publicity for her anti-gay crusade? In a Playboy interview, she said "women who perform fellatio are no better than homosexuals." I take issue with that based on my reviews.
Joy - How can you forget ... RICHARD SIMMONS is also from New Orleans. If that's not enough for a Hurricane strike, I don't know what is! Yes, us HOMOSEXTICALS have this power...
ReplyDeleteI have heard about that horrible monster Anita Bryant. Just because SHE was afraid of a penis, it doesn't mean she has to talk shit one those of us who AREN'T!
:)
Have a wonderful, smashing, hot tranny mess of a time!
ReplyDeleteThen I simply must go. I'd love to do some "servicing" where I could be seen. One good job leads to another. I'll take my kneepads.

My Darling Beth- This will be like my 10th SD, minus Katrina. I stopped taking pictures a long time ago, but our dearest David did happen to find some that were taken of me.
ReplyDeleteI start drinking at about noon on Thursday and dont stop untill my plane takes off on Tuesday.
Mike, you have my vote, I wont take pictures, but I will bring "big" bills. ;)
I haven't been to Decadence in a few years. It's always been a fun weekend. I *heart* your map.
