Top Chef Finale Tonight!

So tonight’s the night – the Top Chef Finale! My prediction: Lisa will make a flavorless "Tomato Salmonella Salad" and win it all.

Look for my last Top Chef recap tomorrow afternoon…

  1. If Lisa wins, I know that this season was fixed from the begining. The promo's make you think that Richard is going to piss everyone off and Lisa is going to win. I think Stephanie will walk out with a culinary boner, tonight.

  2. I picked Richard from get-go...but I think he's just a little obvious as the winner....if it's Lisa, I'll never watch again!! I don't like her....I wonder what she's like in "real life" cuz you know they edit that crap to make her look like such a douche!!

  3. Beth, sometimes editors have the work done for them by the cheftestants. I bet Moanin'Lisa is every bit as lovable in person as she is on the show.

I predict Stephanie will win this evening, although I am not sure if I will be watching myself. It is inexplicable and unforgivable that 'the janitor' is still there, let alone 'capable' of winning.

  4. Can't wait to see what you have to say about tonight's show.

All I can say is if Lisa wins, I think I will have to boycott Bravo TV.....well, maybe not, I can't live without Top Chef, Shear Genius, Project Runway....oh man!

Richard or Stephanie as the winner and I will be happy!

  5. You're saying what I'm thinking, fellow Dust Bunnies. Howard, so true: "It is inexplicable and unforgivable that 'the janitor' is still there, let alone 'capable' of winning." It just cannot happen. Period.

  6. You have to check out what Lisa has said about people bagging on her abilities:

Way to go, Lisa. That's telling us off.

  7. I certainly hope everyone jumps over to America's Got Talent when this is over and the summer season of this show starts on the 17th.
if it weren't for the "feather duster" this season of top cheftestants would have remained dismally uninteresting. David sure makes it woth the watch just to find out how he'll characterize them, reveal their hidden motivations- like Pall malls, vodka, pot, etc. It's just been a lot of fun.

  8. Hi David - thanks for your comments on my blog - I've been enjoying your recaps this season as well! What a roller coaster. I got myself an invite to the VIP viewing party in chicago tonight, so stop by for a star-studded recap tomorrow :) thirdcoasttoast.com

  10. You are the second person I have seen predict that. You both scare me.

But wouldn't it figure if she did? >:(

I have a poll up at my own site on the matter. With 15 votes, eight voters think Steph will win, six think Rich will get it, and only one believes Lisa will actually pull it off. GOD I hope that one person is wrong...

  11. I'm routing for Stephanie because she's the least annoying. Richard has some talent but his arrogance. while entertaining at times, is agravating sometimes.

I would be mortified and question the integrity of the show and the judges if Lisa wins. In fact, I just bought TOm Collichio's book and will return it if she wins.

  12. Sailor, I read that. We're just poor insignificant bloggers with our faces pressed against the window of her restaurant wishing we could afford scraps. How unfair for us to criticize her.

    AND she'd better not win!

  13. Dan, did you and Luis eat at any of those restaurants the guest chefs own when you were in PR? I thought about you and wondered.

Mike, I wanted to comment on that good article you posted on your LJ but wasn't sure it was allowed since there's only brocializing on there. Well, that blocked me for sure, didn't it? Sorry, I couldn't help myself. If I promise not to "bro" on there, would you let me comment? If not, I understand and it's OK.

  14. I'm stuck reading EW's recap since yours isn't up yet but this is funny: Lisa went completely bonkers, sabotaging Stephanie by tripping her in the kitchen. Stephanie sprained her wrist and thus had to cook the finale meal with one arm in a sling and even knead pasta dough with her feet.

I'll be back later to check out what I'm sure will be a much, much more hilarious recap than that :-)

  15. Well, it certainly was interesting! Thank God, Lisa didn't win! I'll be back later for your take on the Finale. Just got my recap up. Sniff, sniff, the last one!
