Jim Abbot gave $10,000 toward marriage equality, and the received a threatening letter:
The letter says if Jim doesn't give an equal donation to Yes on 8, the name of his company will be published. It reads in part, "It is only fair for Proposition 8 supporters to know which companies and organizations oppose traditional marriage."Read the story HERE. Do what to can to preserve marriage equality by going to No On 8 HERE.
Meanwhile, new Dust Bunny Kanani has written a beautiful No On 8 post - read it HERE. And please welcome her to the Dust Bunny family.
Only 10 days left to change the world...
Went to read the story.
ReplyDeleteWow.
That's beyond alarming.
Out of curiosity I, with some trepidation, went to find arguments for Prop. 8. I couldn't find a single cogent argument.
What assholes!
ReplyDeleteGood for Jim Abbot- he's not giving in.
ReplyDeleteI'm so tired of these ignorant morons. They should be arrested for blackmail.
I am so sick of bigotry... in any form... I am thrilled to live in California so I can vote in SUPPORT OF gay marriage.... Jeez, it wasn't all that long ago my marriage was illegal...
ReplyDeleteI just don't see what the big deal is about making marriage legal for everyone-fair is fair, and everyone should have the same rights and benefits as everyone else. Basically, it is legalized discrimination, and regardles of personal opinion about homosexuals, mariage, and or religion, as Americans, anyone in favor of discriminating against any other group of Americans should be ashamed of themselves.
ReplyDeleteHey, thank you for the intro! I'm proud to be a dust bunny!
ReplyDeleteI wrote my piece because everyone is so busy slamming the homosexual community as this nameless, faceless mass, when in fact there are very human stories of love, compassion and yes --a belief in God, that need to be told.
You know how I feel! Argh!
ReplyDeleteIt is simply AMAZING how much money has been spent on Prop 8 advertising, both for and against. Why do straight people get to vote for/against the rights of gays? Gays have never been given the opportunity to vote for/against the rights of straights!
ReplyDeleteMark :-)
