The "Christian" Coalition, who do the Lord's work by hating on the Gays, is patting itself on the back for being so good at Election Day Hate:
Among the most important news from yesterday's elections were the banning of homosexual "marriages" in the states of California, Florida, and Arizona. Indeed, the citizens of California overturned a tyrannical judicial decision by 4 California judges (in a 4-3 decision earlier this year) by passing Proposition 8 yesterday.
The President of the Christian Coalition of America, Roberta Combs (the ugly bitch pictured above) said: "The American people are proud of their fellow citizens in the states of California, Florida and Arizona for upholding traditional marriage between one man and one woman. Christian Coalition of America will continue to fight to ensure that government serves to strengthen and preserve, rather than threaten, our families and our values."
Thus far, 30 states have outlawed homosexual "marriages" by an average close to 70% approval by voters through amendments to the state constitutions. In addition, the voters in Arkansas yesterday approved a measure banning unmarried couples from serving as adoptive or foster parents. It will be the goal of Christian Coalition to ensure that the other 20 states adopt similar amendments banning homosexual "marriages" including the states of Massachusetts and Connecticut which also had two judicial decisions, by one vote margins, legalizing these abominations.
These are the same Douchenozzles who boycotted McDonald's after one of its executives was named to the board of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. Heaven forbid.
ya know, I'm a Christian...and the God I serve loves EVERYONE. He doesn't pick and choose...you can't pick things out of the Bible tht you like and disregard the stuff you don't like.
ReplyDeleteGod is LOVE people, not HATE.
As long as government has a say in marriages - the marriage license - then this is a CIVIL RIGHT.
ReplyDeleteAnd a non-Christian, a Unitarian, why is my government mixing up religion and law, and favoring the Christian religion (actually the non-Beth version of Christians) over the rest of us?
My 85-year-old grandma will tell you that those people are not real Christians. She will tell you that while she may not approve of certain things, it is not her place to judge. Instead she should be loving and accepting. And if my grandma lived here in California with me, I am sure she would have voted no along with me -- just like my mother did. Grandma's argument? "They're not hurting me or anyone else, so why should I try to stop them?" Oh, and grandma is Pentecostal by the way -- proof that not everyone who attends a very conservative church is sipping the kool-aid.
ReplyDeleteAnd God just shakes his head and says, "They still don't get it!"
ReplyDeleteReally, what the fuck is so hard about Love Your Neighbor?!?
When they Puritans came to this land, they did so to escape religious persecution. The Founding Fathers wrote explicitly about a separation of Church and State. My priest always taught me that God is love, to hate is wrong, and it is God's job to judge, not ours.
ReplyDeleteYet, a collective of 'Righteous folk' plot to go squarely into the face of the above, to persecute those who believe differently than they do, to invoke their religious notions as the law of the land, and to preach hate and intolerance about people they feel are inferior to themselves.
Their actions are the very definition of a 'mob mentality,' trying to pick on others and hold themselves up as virtuous and almost divine.
I have some news for Ms. Combs: I am no threat to your family, biyatch. I won't be sleeping with your husband - I am sure you have removed any of his useful equipment. I am sure you assume he would like drag queens - he married you, didn't he? Nor am I interested in your children - they will need far too much therapy before they are well.
Why these groups are not more interested in helping the sick and needy, and instead in punishing people wanting to celebrate love speaks more about themselves than about society. At least I would like to think.
SCREW THE COALITION!! I will have a combo number 3 with no onions and pickles, please....
ReplyDeleteNow I'm nauseous.
