I HATE working in the restaurant business, because I have to drag my sorry ass to work on many national holidays. Anyone else NOT have the day off today?
I agree 200% with Alnhouston - I don't know how you do it. If I spend 2 hours with my neices, I'm exhausted.
BTW - Mama Bunny would have told me where the fridge was (for milk), where the pantry was (for cereal), and where the utensils were (for a spoon) if I would have asked for breakfast :)
I'm working. Not a holiday for retail, either!
ReplyDeleteNever a holiday for a mother. My four year old and 7 year old wanted breakfast at 7:15, does that count?
ReplyDeleteI'm a Realtor, we whore ourselves out everyday:)
ReplyDeleteTivoMom...Moms are rock stars, I don't know how you all do it.
Tivo Mom -

Not working down here in Smallville; even Carlos has the day off.....so we're debating between movie, yardwork, cleaning house or TV shopping.
ReplyDeleteRough life!
I'm working. We never close. Open 24/7/365. We do, however, get holiday pay. :-)
ReplyDeleteSchool districts are great for holidays and summer! Makes up for the lack of combat pay...
ReplyDeleteI took the day off so I could sit around and be lazy, a little self renewing time so to speak.
ReplyDeletei WISH i was working today... ;)
ReplyDeleteand if it makes you feel any better, all the construction workers are on-the-job, too. no rest for the weary, i guess!
Mother of preschoolers. I NEVER get a day off. Can't wait for Missy and Red to be in school!
ReplyDeleteMr Clairol doesn't have the day off either. In fact, he had to go in at 5:00 this morning because he's got a really complicated repair on a Jetta.
BTW, I love Mama Bunny. We mothers live for the day the kids are old enough to reach the cereal and not spill the milk!
At work. *sigh* But at least I'm off tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI was in the office at 6:45...
ReplyDeleteI am working, too. And as for Mama Bunny's direction, my mama would have added a simple question - 'Are you legs broken?'
ReplyDeleteI'm semi-retired and very off today. Poor babies!! I'm sorry you're working. Yes, that's one advantage of teaching.
ReplyDeleteI work in a hospital. Today was not a holiday for us. Business as usual.
ReplyDeleteI work in the medical field so I had to be at work today...
