The Queen (of Soul) Wears Her Crown

I know I said no more posting today - but I had to post a picture of Ri-Ri and THE HAT. Most people will disagree, but I love it.

  1. I say it takes a hell of a woman to pull off a hat like that. More power to her.

  2. I love the hat. I think it's awesome and anyone who criticizes it doesn't understand that the whole function of hats to be as big and as bold as possible.

  3. I'm reminded of a scene from '9-to-5,' where Lily Tomlin is showing new hire Jane Fonda around the office.
She takes a look at the head-wear that Jane's character thinks is 'office girl' and says:
"Well have to find a special locker for that hat."

  4. She totally rocked it. She looked fantastic- and she has had a few serious fashion mishaps recently (NAACP - just to name one). So I was super happy to see her looking so elegant- she has a Marian Anderson look- very retro. Go Queen, Go!

If I were not a wan white girl, I would so wear that outfit.

  7. I HATED the hat. In the sun, the crystals looked like LEDs, blinking as she moved around. Not sure I would have liked it better without the glitz though.

  12. I actually loved the hat. You have to have a certain degree of fabulosity to pull that off and Ms. Franklin has fabulosity up ying-yang.
