Conservatives Cheer USA's Olympic Loss

The right-wing Buttnuggets from "Americans For Prosperity" interrupted their meeting this week to cheer the United States' LOSS of the 2016 Summer Olympics to Brazil. Sounds like they should change the name of their little club to "Anti-Americans For Dumbassery"...

According to Hotline On Call:

During the Americans For Prosperity's "Defending the American Dream Summit," blogger Emily Marie Zanotti of American Princess interrupted a discussion about engaging the right online to announce that Chicago was out of the running -- and the room erupted in applause.

"If anyone cares, Chicago is out," Zanotti said. When the crowd asked what happened, she said, "The very first vote, they did not have any chance at even negotiating. They were out on the first vote." That news was met with more cheers and high-fives.

Of course, these unpatriotic assmasters saw this as a "loss" for President Obama - because Obama had lobbied the Olympic Committee on behalf of Chicago. And any loss for our President is worthy of high-fives in these people's world.

What they don't understand, however, was the fact that efforts to bring the Olympics to Chicago began during President Bush's presidency. Also, for a group of people who call themselves "Americans For Prosperity", they didn't seem to understand the billions in revenue and thousands of jobs which would have been created. You know ... PROSPERITY ... here in AMERICA.

Meanwhile, the sexy residents of Rio de Janeiro celebrated their win on Copacabana beach...

Dear Americans for Prosperity: these (extremely attractive) people are cheering FOR their country, not against it. It's called "patriotism" ... look it up.

I thought, since name-calling was becoming so popular, I'd goosestep right along.

  2. While I am happy Rio did get the Olympics for a whole host of reasons, I just do not understand how "the right" sees this as an "obama blunder". From what I have heard over the past few days, this was a done deal some time ago because the IOC politics make our politics look like amateur time.
Good for Rio and good for us that we were in the Final 4!

  3. It is very dismaying how short sighted many Americans have become, forgoing something as spectacular as the Olympics to be able to poke at Obama. I thought the Brazilians showed how it should be done :o)

  5. They're not fooling anyone. It's thinly veiled racism pure and simple. They just cannot stand a biracial man as President. Anything they can do to accelerate his downfall they Will do.
