I will be at home on the couch tonight at midnight with the kitties (pitiful, I know) - something that has become an annual tradition for me. I grew tired of the crowds and expense of New Year's Eve celebrations at bars long ago - so now I just stay home.
At midnight I'll open one of the windows and listen to the roaring crowds in Times Square (yes, I'm that close) - and then I'll begin 2010. This past year wasn't the greatest for me - so I'm hoping 2010 will bring all of us good things.
What will YOU be doing tonight?
House party at a friend's place for me. Everybody's bringing a dish and there will be beer pong (I don't wanna grow up!), so will be kinda low key, and hopefully drama free! HAPPY NEW YEAR, David!
ReplyDeleteI'll be at home with my two grandmothers :D Talk about lame. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year David and thank you for all the great experiences and laughs your blog brings to me and many other people! 4 hours and 13 minutes till 2010 here. Hope you all have a great celebrations and a wonderful new year ahead. :)
Miss Ginger follows your key and stays in on New Years- too many amateur drunks on the streets! Boy Ginger will probably spend it with the lesbians and their neighbors- close to home, low key evening!
ReplyDeleteIn just a bit I'm heading out to South Dakota to see my family. I never got there for Christmas due to the storm. I'm looking forward to getting home. Tonight I plan to spend with my niece. She's excited to stay up until midnight. It will be great!
ReplyDeleteToday is The Engineer's birthday. Then it is New Year's Eve! 54. ak!
ReplyDeleteStay cozy and give the kitties a hug from The Labrador Girls.
Ho We are going to party like rock stars, atleast as much as one can with a 13, 10, two 8's and a 4 yr. old. Hopefull 3 of the 5(adults) can make it till midnight.
ReplyDeletePlenty of Bubbly cider, and one hell of a fireworks show courtesy of the Sinners down on the strip.
Same as you, except I'd have to use the miracle of satellites to bring me the experience of Times Square and would need to stay up another 5 hours to do so!
ReplyDeleteLondon's fireworks will be in on HD on TV and i'll chec out the window as fireworks of a much less spectacular variety get let off all over the city.
The House of LeMay was invited to perform for Burlington, Vermont's First Night celebration. We're doing one 40-minute show with our accompianist and our four piece band...
ReplyDeleteIt was 16 years ago tonight that Maggie and I first sang together as "The Sisters LeMay."
Yep, we're still here.
DD - Hope the new year is kind to you!! You bring much joy to me each day.
We're doing a quiet night at home with our friends, David and Neal, the Round The Way Gays. New Years Eve is what I call "Amateur Night" and is not worth the hassle.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a fab 2010, DD.
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOX
Bob and Carlos
I will be sitting at home, watching something on TV, and being very old and lame. And very grateful to be having another new year to celebrate. Happy New Year to you, my dear, dear David.
ReplyDeleteWe're going to a potluck, then hanging with our buddies at a local watering hole. Not a big deal, but at least we're celebrating. We've stayed home and done nothing on NYE and I find it unbearable. That's just me.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, David Darling!!!
