SNOWmageddon NYC - Prepare For A Pounding

SnOMG - we are expected to get pounded by 12 inches tomorrow!  SnOHMYGOODNESS!!  NYC public schools have already been closed - and now I'm wondering if I'll be able to make it to work tomorrow.  If I get to my job and they shut down the subways (remember, a major portion of the NYC "subway" system is actually above-ground), then I would have to walk 3 miles home in the snow.  Uphill.

Reminder to self:  stop by the liquor store on the way home. Bacardi Limon is a staple, and is much more important than bread and/or milk.

  1. Healthy staple ;)

Should be a big storm. Interested to see what we actually get.

  3. You guys always miss the poundings though. :) We got rammed real good over the weekend and now it is starting again. I'm fine with it as I'll probably get another day off work tomorrow. Woot!

  5. we've been getting it since i woke up but the snow is fine and powdery, like it came from a flour sifter in the sky. our storm totals are supposed to be between 5-8 inches, and the irony is that I AM ON VACATION so the chance for a snow day is lost. . .

  6. Read an article that there is no real explanation as to why the East is getting this next storm. I say, David WHO did you piss off???

  9. Twelve inches? Girl, that's NOTHING. We got about 25" over the weekend and we're currently getting another 10"+ dumped on us.

    Stay safe!

    XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO
