The Oscars do absolutely NOTHING for me. I haven't been to an actual movie theater in years (not really sure why - it just happened), so I obviously haven't seen any of the nominated films/performances. Furthermore, I cannot stand Ryan Seacrest - who has completely ruined the red-carpet arrivals for me.
So does this mean I'll have my Homosexual Membership Card taken away from me?
I'm watching and checking Twitter so I'm keeping up! But then you know how I like awards shows - especially the Oscars and love movies, too.
ReplyDeleteI think you can keep your card since you make up for it in other ways with Glee and lots more.
David, David, David...
ReplyDeleteWhile I've stopped watching the pre-show on ABC - (who picked those hosts?)...
I'm surprised we disagree on Ms. Seacrest. I find shim very entertaining.
PS - we may be seeing each other soon...
Hugs,
I turned it on once I read, via Twitter, that Chris March designed Meryl Streep's gown. Yeah, Chris!!! She looks loverly.
ReplyDeleteYou won't lose your Gay Card, but you may have to return the gift basket.
ReplyDeleteI'm checking with HOMO HQ right now.
Mame- well then, I'll be getting mine taken away then too. I can't watch this or any other award shows. It's a bunch of hot air blowing. Their all very talented, with or with out the awards. And so far as the fashion, I'm around it all week, so I guess thats why I don't watch the pre show either! And Ryan-cute, but annoying as hell!
ReplyDeleteI'm with my sisters here... really, who cares? I like to check out the fashions, but with the internet, I can see photos online in about 10 minutes, and not have to listen to 4 hours of all that hot air!
ReplyDeleteHey, I'll be pissed if you get to meet Amber before me!!!!
I've never seen the point - getting awards for doing what basically is your job? Course we got that too, it was called continued employment.
ReplyDeleteI didn't watch this year... not feeling up to speed. And this is a year that I didn't go to many, if any, movies.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I do like looking at the folks in their finery. That you aren't into the Oscar's prolly accounts for why I am!!
I will watch Joan Rivers tonight on E dishing on the frocks.
ReplyDeleteI watched the Oscars simply because there was a dearth of anything else worth watching last night.
Go see Avatar in 3D before it leaves the big screen. It's worth it.
I'm not a fan of the Oscars either, but it is fun to mock the acceptance speeches. The best part of the whole thing is the TLo posts!
ReplyDeleteI'm colorblind for the most part, 3d movies don't work right for me, and I get nothing but a headache after a little bit of trying to watch them..gaah
ReplyDeletei just watched up in the sky & hurt locker, and we were gonna watch the blind side... pretty dramatic for me.
ReplyDeleteactually for me, avatar was just plain 3d movie unlike titanic, there's no iconic lines or actions unlike titanic with all those drama and romance.
hurt locker is a pretty serious movie and i didn't know that the writer of that movie is a reporter assigned in Baghdad. pretty musch of an independent film, that means more art & craft in the film.
