Yes, Use It Up and Wear It Out is a big gay cheese-fest - but it totally reminds me of my early days on the dance floor of Stallions in Harrisburg, PA.
Pat and Mick were two DJ's on London's Capital Radio back in the 80's. they released a few songs, usually for the annual 'Help a London Child' charity event the radio station ran. The tunes were total cheesy fluff like this and earned the station the nickname Crapital when I was at school.

LOVE THIS!!! It was playing when I started sneaking in to the big gay dance club near where I had to grow up. I always heard that this was a remix or remake of a similar song (when I managed to find the "cassingle", the year '92 was part of the title). Anyone know anything about that, or versions of this song?
"Ain't nothing left in this whole world I care about!"
LOVE LOVE LOVE this song and it brings back memories of the many tea-dances at the Boatslip in Provincetown!
ReplyDeleteI love it, it's so gay and fun
