Brandi Irwin (above and below) of Park Slope Brooklyn spends $47,000 per year on hair extensions! From The New York Post:
Welcome to Gemini 14 on 14th Street near the West Village, home to the city’s most expensive hair extensions — which cost $10,000 a pop. Irwin has hers put in three times a year. Add to that her color sessions every six weeks at about $300 per appointment and $65 blowouts twice a week and she’s forking out roughly $47,000 a year to achieve her Rapunzel-like mane (including tips). In short, what most of us would pay for a car, Irwin blows on her crowning glory — every year.
For $47,000/year, that weave better clean my bathroom, prepare my taxes and sing me a lullaby at night - instead of just lazily sitting there on top of my head!
Considering how unremarkable she looks, and I mean this after her weave... I've seen drag queens with 18 wigs and a lot of glue look ten times better, and more authentic.
ReplyDeleteso hilarious that a person would spend so much on something that a) looks terrible and b) is so obviously fake. i mean, for that much bread, i'd expect people to not be able to immediately see that i have a weave in. but then again, an obvious comparison would be plastic surgery (*cough* heidi montag *cough*) where people spend tons to look very obviously "done." whatever. if you've got the cash, i guess...
ReplyDeleteWho is she? And they don't even look good!
ReplyDeleteI see it's not just me that thinks they look terrible. I actually think she looks better in the non-weave shot.
ReplyDeleteNasty. And she'd look way better with a short cut.
ReplyDeleteGood grief! She definitely looks better with her own hair. That is a teacher's salary around here - with years of experience and a master's degree. Sad, huh?
ReplyDeletethat's a mess
ReplyDeleteFor that kind of loot those extensions should at least look REAL! Seriously, the most broke down tranny I ever saw had a better weave than that!
ReplyDeleteDustBunny M
Ohh hell no she didn't spend all them coins on that busted up weave!
ReplyDeleteIt seems somewhat unjust that someone can be that stupid and have that much money to waste, when there are people of intelligence and skill, trying to make it in this economy, that have far less throw away cash.
