I can't tell you how many UMANS have lost jobs over the years at my company as typewriters have been replaced by word processors, copy machines have learned to collate and staple themselves, and green pens have been replaced by wireless scanners. It's the electronic industrial revolution, and I think it's the cause of all of our economic woes.
It took me 10 minutes and the 'help' of two staff to buy a packet containing 4 potatoes the other week using one of those 'fast track' self service scanners. March of progress FAIL.
I love her, too! I won't use those self-service aisles in the grocery store. I feel like she does about it. There should be a discount if we have to work there ourselves.
