Yesterday I Had A ...

... Good Day!!

It wasn't a great day, mind you, but I did some good things yesterday:

  • I walked 1.5 miles after work.
  • Went to the grocery store and stocked up on fruit. One of my lame-ass excuses for making poor food choices is "There's nothing to eat in the house". This, somehow, then justifies ordering (and eating) an entire pizza or $25 of Chinese food.
  • I did a tiny bit of cleaning/organizing in the kitchen. I'm a Virgo, and organization makes me feel better about things in general - although you'd never know it if you saw my trainwreck of a room. Wait a second ... my disgusting room may be the cause of my disgusting waist size!?!?! That sounds like a Good Morning America segment just waiting to happen...
  • I drank more water (and less diet soda) than usual.
Furthermore, my doctor called regarding my bloodwork from last week. He said that my cholesterol and blood sugar levels are fine, my CD4/tcells keep increasing, my viral load is still undetectable and my liver numbers - although still high - held steady. All in all a pretty damn good report.

BTW - I must be the fattest biatch on the planet with absolutely normal cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar. Which could ALSO be a Good Morning America segment. Dear GMA producers: my booking fee (in the form of an Arby's gift card) is quite reasonable - CALL ME.

On the down side, I consumed way more calories yesterday than I should have. And I'm still terrified of getting onto the scale. But all things considered it was still a GOOD day.

How was YOUR day yesterday??

  4. I've been having good days diet wise, but the last nerve I'm on has pretty much kept me in the house...

I know that I'm a week behind in reporting, but I am still in.

One of my personal diet rules is that when you start, weigh yourself and then don't do it again for two weeks, this way you don't experience those minor ups and downs that can discourage...
    It works for me!

  5. I went out last night so that ruins any kind of good day I might have been having (although all around yesterday was a bad day food wise). I have no self control, especially when the crap food is in the house.

  6. Yeah, good but oh so close to being great!

Love the .5 miles... those extra 10 minutes will pay off in the future. if you add a block or two (1/4 if you are on a track) and boost that to 2 1/2 miles, you will be on fiya!

You are a virgo..? Me too, at least I used to be... anywho, I feel tons better when I straighten my mess up too... not that it is decluttered but I BELIEVE it is decluttered... and THAT'S what counts..!

HAND WEIGHTS! I run with ankle and hand weights... the increase the resistance and will help you tone your arms as you walk... and will help tighten them up and burn more calories...

... am I talking too much..?

...do you eat oat meal? If you do, it is a great anytime snack, easy to prepare and throw some fruit and/or maple syrup and cinnamon... that is a meal made to cut weight...

... drink water... esp. if it is going to be as hot a summer as I hope it is... oh, and it is an appetite suppressant...

... glad you have good numbers... and like you, I eat a ton of junk but am not even CLOSE to being diabetic..! 'k, ranted enough... take care and stay healthy my friend.!!

  7. I scheduled a work in Dr. appointment today because I just knew I was dying of a stroke and the Dr. said- "it's just vertigo, probably some inflamation in your inner ear. Take these pills".

Great, doc. But why the HELL is my inner ear inflamed? And why doesn't it hurt?
