Bravo Launches Launch My Line

After the fiasco that was The Fashion NO, Bravo is trying again with Launch My Line. From last week's press release:
The series features ten well known professionals who are highly regarded in their own field of expertise, but have always dreamed of having their own clothing line. These professionals will be paired with ten established fashion designers who will help them execute their dream clothing line. The ten pairs will be put to the test, as they have to rely on each other's expertise to produce a cohesive fashion line. Some teams form a natural connection while others have instant tension, but at the end of every episode a complete look from each team must walk the runway and be judged in front of a live studio audience. In the end, the winning professional will have their clothing line launched and their expert designer, who helped them along way, will receive $50,000.

Television fashion competition experts Tom & Lorenzo say...
We've been hearing through the grapevine for months now that, honestly, for real, no fooling, Bravo REALLY got this one right. We don't blame any of you for being wary after the crashing disappointment of The Fashion Show.

Tom & Lorenzo also have all the information (including bios on all the designers/professionals/whatevers) HERE.

One of the professionals will be RuPaul's Drag Race judge Merle Ginsberg, who I love ...

Another "professional" (which, remember, is another term for "prostitution whore!") is Patrick McDonald...

McDonald is one of those people who always gets photographed during Fashion Week because of his "look". I'll be curious to see if he actually knows how to do something besides pose for pictures.

Launch My Line premieres on Wednesday, September 16 at 9:00 pm - and will air in the time slot right before Top Chef. What do you think - will you give it a shot?

  2. Absolutely giving it a shot. We are so PR deprived that we lasted all the way thru The Fashion Show.

  4. Have they admitted the Fashion No was a terrible disaster? The remiss of the new show loses me a bit - I don't need to watch some Jessica Simpson bimbo running around have the work done for her and putting her name on it.

  5. Sigh. Bravo, Bravo, Bravo... maybe its time to just face the music. Nothing will ever be as good as Project Runway, which will soon be seen on Lifetime.

  6. Can't wait to see Patrick McDonald in this. Many people know him from his look, but his fashion knowledge and point of view are highly developed from years of working in the industry.

  7. I always thought Patrick McDonald's "look" was a rip-off of Pete Burns from Dead or Alive (pre-cosmetic surgery addiction).
