Longtime diplomat Richard Holbrooke, the U.S. Special Representative to Afghanistan and Pakistan, died on Monday after surgery to repair a torn aorta.
According to the Washington Post:
As Mr. Holbrooke was sedated for surgery, family members said, his final words were to his Pakistani surgeon: "You've got to stop this war in Afghanistan."
May he rest in peace. And may the powers-that-be in Washington heed his final words.

That was an amazing utterance and we can only hope SOMEONE IS LISTENING!!
True, but I doubt that his surgeon has anything to do with that war.
