OMG - This is a real thing:
Allan Sherwood was the first buddy doll created for Ken. The vintage Allan doll first came on the market in 1964. His creation mirrored the creation of Barbie's pal, Midge. Allan was advertised as Midge's "boyfriend".
Yeah ... just like Marcus Bachmann is advertised as Michele's "husband".

I had an Allan doll! I wasn't allowed a Ken doll. I guess by the time I was 8 my mother decided that the boy dolls had not caused mass hysteria amongst girls so it was okay.
I like that they can share clothes, lol.
OMG- my first sugar daddy bought me a little swim cover/robe thingy with rainbow stripes JUST LIKE the one Allan is wearing!!!
