Remember the price you see there is in 'Pence' per litre. To help: GBP 1.3744 = $2.10. There are 4.5 litres to a UK gallon, so that equates to $9.10 per gallon...

Here in Canada, Montréal that is, we pay around $5.40 Can/gall.....

Which is around $5,04 US....

So don't complain because we are the OIL producer for our own market and still pay a lot more...
BTW, lot of your oil comes from HERE... Alberta...

But only in Manhattan can you get the "Ultimate" gas! Around here, the best we can ever seem to find is "premium"!

I remember when my Grandmother used to call it "Ethyl"- at the time, I wondered why regular gas wasn't called "Lucy"....
