Madonna Got Higher Ratings Than The Super Bowl Itself

From Gawker:
Madonna's 10-minute halftime spectacle averaged a 48.3 rating while the game itself averaged a 47.8 rating. Last year's game had a 47.9 rating, which translates to 111 million viewers and was the highest rated game in history. This year's is slightly down (but not by much) and is the third highest rated game. But still, Madonna beats all of that. Looks like, for some people, Madge is a bigger draw than a silly sporting event.
Those extra ratings points were The Gays tuning in just for the halftime show.

Never a truer word spoken. I caught it here in the UK live in the early hours. Apparently she was on stage too? I just saw cute, hunky dancers...

Some of us were equally transfixed by Madge and the shimmying and shaking of big, beefy American football bootay.

...and me!
We went out for a walk. When we got back I turned on the tv to check...Halftime was just starting.
Watched Madonna (awesome).
Then turned it off.
I DVR'd it, but no need.

Madonna was really the only reason to watch the Super Bowl.
