This story about gay Georgia teen Derrick Martin just tugs at my heartstrings. When we first heard about him, Derrick had gotten permission from his school district to bring his boyfriend to the prom. Yeah Gay!!
But ever since then, the news hasn't been so great. First we learned that Derrick's parents kicked him out of his home, supposedly because
OF THE MEDIA ATTENTION.

Then yesterday I read that a student named
Amber Duskin (
above - with back turned, speaking to Derrick) organized a protest against Derrick outside the county courthouse (

The rally’s organizer, Amber Duskin, sent text messages to high school students Wednesday asking them to show up.
The senior said she asked her high school to return her prom ticket money and does not plan to attend because of Martin.
“I don’t believe in going up there and dancing with gay guys like that,” she said. “It’s also not just him bringing a boy. It was bringing all this attention to it.”
WTF? Amber Duskin supposedly wasn't upset that Derrick is gay - she was upset by all the "attention". Note to Amber Duskin: ORGANIZING A PROTEST brings even more "attention"! Are you really that stupid? No, Amber Duskin, I doubt that you are. So why don't you just say what you really want to say - you hate gay people. After all - you stated you didn't want to "dance with gay guys like that". That is called "homophobia". Learn it ... and OWN it.
Additional Note to Amber Duskin: I have purposefully used your name - AMBER DUSKIN - multiple times so that when some gay/progressive potential future employer or Human Resources person looks you up on The Google, they might just find out what kind of a person you really are. The facts speak for themselves.

Seriously, HOW CAN ANYONE HATE ON THESE KIDS?!? Derrick is an honor student with a full scholarship to college and his boyfriend wears flip-flops and plays the trumpet along the train tracks!! It doesn't get more All-American than that!
One More Note to Amber Duskin: Derrick and Richard probably don't want to dance with you either.
