Wonderfully Bizarre/Creepy/Intriguing: Internet K-Hole

Recently I came across Internet K-Hole - a bizarre/awesome photoblog featuring random pics - most of which seem to come from the 70's and 80's and NONE of which have captions. I'd try to explain further, but the site is completely without explanation.

All the pics from this post were snagged from the latest post over at IK-H. The picture at the top intrigued me because Mt. Holly, PA is the one-horse town "up the road" from the two-horse town I was born and raised in. In fact, it's where my Sister-In-Law grew up (I wonder if she knows any "Fenton's"??). The pic below caught my eye because ... duh ... 80's BOY GEORGE (!!). There are just SO MANY pictures that you're bound to find something that personally intrigues you.

Seriously, take a look at Internet K-Hole - and if you can figure WTF is going on, please share it with the rest of the class. NOTE: Internet K-Hole contains some pics your boss might want to discuss at your next Performance Evaluation - so maybe you should wait to get home before diving in.

Lost City Closes Up Shop

One of my favorite blogs about NYC, Lost City, has decided to call it quits.  Brooks, the blogger who ran Lost City, used his blog to celebrate "Old New York" - notable old restaurants, shops, stores, and buildings.  But recently he spent most of his time railing against the economic and political forces which have destroyed Old New York - making the city one big homogenized shopping mall for tourists and the rich.  I guess Brooks couldn't handle the disappointment of chronicling the loss of so many New York City landmarks, so he just gave up trying.

I completely agree with Brooks point of view, that economic interests shouldn't necessarily trump history every time.  I fell in love with sleazy, gritty Times Square (above and below) when Mama Bunny took me on a one-day theater bus trip from PA when I was about 13.  When I saw the unpolished, in-your-face, dirty (in many ways) city on that day, I KNEW it was where I wanted to live.

I know a preserved-in-the-bad-old-days Times Square wouldn't do anything for the economic development of the city, but there has got to be some kind of balance between "progress" and preservation.

If you have a chance, visit Lost City and say goodbye to Brooks and to the New York City I fell in love with as a kid.  And while you're there, you can explore Old New York as seen through one Blogger's eyes.

Great New HottieBlog - Dark Flex

Check out the hottest new blog on the internet - Dark Flex. TJ, the blogger responsible for this hotness, is just starting out - but what a start it has been! Seriously, I need to spend and entire weekend stealing borrowing pictures from his blog.

And when you visit, DON'T FORGET TO CLICK ON THE "FOLLOW" BUTTON. TJ is a little bit embarrassed by his small number of followers (because, after all, size DOES matter) - so let's see if we can get him some more. Believe me, if you like the hotties on DavidDust, you'll love Dark Flex.

Two Of My Favorite Blogs...

First of all, please go HERE and read this hilarious post on Dlisted about Babydaddy Levi Johnston and his plans to get nekkid in print. In my opinion, Dlisted's Michael K is the absolute funniest blogger on teh Innerwebz - and I bow at the hysterical feet of the Master.

Secondly, one of my all-time favorite blogs - DWIGHT SUPREMACY - is back! Dwight, who was one of the first bloggers to ever link to DavidDust, took some time off - but now he has returned for our viewing pleasure. And he's already featured some of his patented SIRveillance photos...

In honor of Dwight Supremacy's return, I have made him the latest "Featured Dust Bunny Blogger" (see sidebar). Welcome back Dwight!!

The Oldest Scam In The Book...

This picture reminded me of one of my new favorite blogs - Fuck You, Penguin. It is the EXACT OPPOSITE of cute LOLCat-ish animal sites, and it makes me LOL with every new post. Thanks to West Coast Dust Bunny ShirlSD for turning me on to this hysterical site.
