This Is Your Brain On Drugs (Watching YouTube)

Lindsay Lohan must need to wire some "investment" money to Columbia soon, because she's suing E-Trade for $100 million bucks - according to the New York Post...

Lohan and her attorney contend that the messy "Milkaholic" baby in the ad above (named "Lindsay") is actually her - and it damages Lindsay's pristine reputation and the honorable "Lohan" name.  Lohan's lawyer, Stephanie Ovadia, claims that "Lindsay" has the same single-name recognition as "Oprah" or "Madonna" - thereby making the lawsuit possible.

Crackheadpuhlease ... if they called the baby "Hoover" or "Electrolux" or "Cokesnortingdrugfiend", THEN Lindsay would have a case.  But not now.

Mikey V Wants His Cop Job Back

Long-time DavidDust readers should remember Michael Verdugo (A.K.A. "Mikey V"), a gay cop who appeared on the third season of HGTV's Design Star.  During the season it was learned that Mikey made a 15 minute cameo in a ... cough, cough ... "Gay Independent Film".  Because of this youthful transgression, Verdugo was suspended from his police job, and was disinvited to Design Star's Season Three Finale show.

But now Verdugo is suing to get back on the police force - saying that his sexual orientation was the reason behind his firing, that if a straight male cop appeared in a straight film "his police buddies would be high-fiving him in the hallway".  For more details of the lawsuit, go HERE.

On a personal note, I got the chance to interview Mikey during the kerfuffle (see the interview HERE), and he was the nicest guy in the world.  Not many reality show people were paying attention to my little blog back in 2008, but Mikey V was - and he cared about what you all thought about him.  So I know I'm being biased, but I wish him well and hope he has success with the lawsuit.

Chef Tom Colicchio Taken To Court

Everyone's favorite Top Chef PapaBear - Tom Colicchio - was sued this week by a waitress who claims Tom and his Craft restaurants misappropriated tips and failed to pay earned wages. Read the story from the New York Times HERE.

Barbie Will DESTROY You...

A judge gave the rights to the popular Bratz line of dolls (below) to Mattel this week - saying the developer of the dolls created them while employed by Mattel (the owners of Barbie). MGA - the company who has made millions from the Bratz dolls, faces a recall and possible destruction of the dolls in February if their appeals fail. Read more HERE.
