Confirmed: Double Tornadoes Hit NYC

The National Weather Service has confirmed that two tornadoes hit NYC on Thursday - one in Brooklyn, and one in Flushing, Queens (above), which is only a few subway stops from my apartment.  My neighborhood (Astoria), on the other hand, didn't seem to have any serious damage at all - there weren't even any fallen tree branches when I headed to work the next morning. Then again, I was a little HUNG OVER so maybe I just couldn't see anything through my bloodshot eyes.

I Missed Queens Gay Pride!

On my first full day as a resident of Astoria, Queens - they celebrated Gay Pride a few neighborhoods over in Jackson Heights.  Coincidence???

And at least one of the participants was A FAMILIAR FACE.  She certainly gets around...

Calm Down - It's Caturday

I'm supposed to be packing right now - it looks like Oscar, Dusty and myself will be moving out to Queens in exactly one week.  Although I still haven't seen the new apartment or met my new roommate.  Don't ask...
