Vera Charles & Mama Bunny: Separated At Birth?

Many of you will recognize the picture above of the late, great Bea Arthur portraying Vera Charles in Mame.

Mama Bunny, my dear mother, brought to my attention that one of her recent photos was similar to that of Miss Charles. The photo below is my beloved Mom, during rehearsals for a local production of Lend Me a Tenor. To see more photos of Mama Bunny strutting her stuff onstage, go HERE. She's the one in the sequins and tiara ... natch.

Feeling Better

As some of you guessed, my weekend freakout was about more than just food. Unfortunately, I can't really talk about what all this latest stress stems from. I will say it has nothing to do with me directly - although in time it could affect me.

I am confident the problem can be solved, and I thank you for your well wishes.

Oh, and by the way ... I logged my points yesterday on WeightWatchers.com and stayed within the guidelines. I also did my 2 1/2 mile walk home from work :)

White Meat Monday: The END

Brookyn's History House

When Elizabeth Giddens bought the wood-framed home in the Bed-Stuy neighborhood of Brooklyn, she had no idea how much history the house contained.

From turn-of-the-century society galas, to depression-era speakeasy, to 70's R&B House parties, to 80's crack depravity - her house had seen it all. And Giddens was able to determine some of the house's storied past by excavating the junk which had been dumped into a mysterious tunnel below the home.

Read the incredibly interesting story of the house (and it's garbage) from The New York Times HERE.
