Last night I learned that regular dish detergent (e.g. Dawn) is NOT a substitute for automatic dishwasher detergent (e.g. Cascade). I also learned that the suds produced when one makes this mistake are harder to kill than Jason Voorhees from Friday The 13th.

Been there, done that - good way to get the dining room carpet shampooed...
OMG! I've done that too! when I HAD a dishwasher of course... :( bubbles bubbles everywhere!!!! but ya, at least the floor was clean.
XOXOX
LOL! Also a victim of this mistake. I actually thought that regular detergent was "weaker" than the automatic dishwasher kind so I poured EXTRA in to compensate. Ahhhh, good times.
Good thing you took your "toys" out before you took the picture. :)
OMG, I laughed so hard on this one as I did the same thing a few years ago and my partner looked at me like "REALLY?"
hahahahahaha, I can't believe you didn't know you couldn't put regular dish liquid in the diswasher.....sorry, buddy but that shit is funny. I guess I've always had a dish washer.
Funny. I've done that when I was younger. Luckily I was still in the kitchen when the bubbles started and mom wasn't home yet.
Oh and to save you a headache. No foil in the microwave.
:)
No You Did Not :o)
