Not only am I not recapping The Fashion Show: Ultimate Collie Crap this week, I didn't even watch it. For the first time since having pneumonia in June, I can feel a cold coming on - so I was in bed by 9:30 pm. However, I perused the innerwebz this morning and found out who was sent home - and it doesn't make me too happy.
Assignment: Feel free to do a little recapping of your own in the comments. Give me highlights/lowlights or just rag on Calvin - whatever you want to do. Remember, the ONLY thing I know about last night's episode is who was sent home - so talk to me...

Well....
You saw the preview of Calvin stating that he would give the prize money, if he won, to the Gay Mens Health Alliance and that his partner is dying. WAH!!! Yes, Calvin has been a mean and nasty fellow and now he's got a story and a heart - talk about throwing a monkey wrench into the process. I still wonder if Bravo held that back until we had all decided he was the villain...
I thought it was a fun challenge. It introduced us to a new person on the fashion scene, Simon Doonan, a famous person in the industry that the rest of us got to meet. They were assigned accessories. Caesar's crochet coffee cup I fail to see as a fashion accessory... I think he turned it into a hat or hair thingy. Jeffery won and he's just so damn sweet, only a year older than the twins, and I wonder if he's up to be adopted?
Did not expect Eduardo to be aufed at all!!! I can understand it - same, lovely clothes he always makes. They decided Calvin had finally shown some talent...
McGiggly was giggly as always and way to married to her pig purse.
drink your oj, keep warm!

From Dust Bunny Tom A (via email):
Based on the sudden change in editing of the show, I think Calvin is at LEAST going to finale, and I think he may have actually won the
entire show!
Last night, he was madesympathetic, (my partner is dying of AIDS!) and not ONE person said anything bad about him. NOR was he shown to be bitchy or obnoxious.
I thought Eduardo may be sent away- he was NOT avant guarde at ALL, and that was the challenge. Everyone thought Calvin was going, including Calvin himself!
Watched the episode, and feel that ultimately, as this season wears on, it is reminding me more and more of the show I disliked so much last year. Was also very annoyed about who they sent home. I found it to be contrived and serving the drama more than fashion.
Take care, my dear. Stay warm and dry!
Dominique should have gone.
Pig coat?
Humpback ball gown?
Yikes.
I'm sad Eduardo was auf'd too. That pig coat and humpback dress were weird. Guess I'm just not avant garde at all. Calvin was shown in a more sympathetic light, but we still know how he can be. I'm glad Jeffrey won. Interesting challenge this time!
Take care of yourself! Don't let that cold happen!
It was obvious after seeing the fashions that Jeffrey would win and Eduardo would go home. Eduardo makes pretty clothes but he knows nothing about being avant garde. Dominique will probably be the next to go if this week if her work next week is like this week's. Her ideas were good but poorly executed.
