Well how 'bout them apples...
From The Daily What:
Garten, who previously turned down the 6-year-old fan’s dying wish for facetime twice — once with a “definite no” — released a statement through her rep saying she “only became aware of Enzo’s story this weekend” (despite the wish being over a year old). “[Ina] looks forward to inviting him to spend some time with her at the Food Network studios,” the rep went on to say.
I WOULD say something snarky about "damage control", but I'm truly happy Enzo is getting his wish and that Ms. Garten did the right thing. So I'll keep my mouth shut, for a change. And maybe ... just maybe ... my snarkiness helped in some tiny way.
Actually - I'll let the undisputed Queen of Snark - Dlisted's Michael K. - chime in with his theory about the REAL evil behind the brouhaha:
This was all just a misunderstanding! A misunderstanding that strangely smells like bottom shelf vodka, packaged shredded cheese, microwave brownie batter and minimal effort. Hmmm. Sandra Lee WOULDN'T! Would she?
And there you have it!
UPDATE #345,325: TMZ is reporting that Enzo has moved on and is looking forward to swimming with dolphins instead of hanging out with Ina. Ouch! {Thanks Froggy}

I'm happy for Enzo
Hope the visit goes well.
update/update - TMZ Live says the boy has moved on in his wishes and is going to swim with dolphins. Family wants to move on. I can imagine, awkward welcoming someone into your home who refused you twice before...
WHY DID SHE FINALLY GIVE IN? Did they withhold her meals for three days?
