One Moment In Time, The Greatest Love of All and I Wanna Dance with Someone
Thanks for suggesting us a different song from the one all networks feel obliged to refer to, as if this sole song would sum up her career. Let me remind that she had a worldwide career before and after her (boring) flirt with Kevin Costner on the big screen in 1992 (It was boring because there was nothing original and the plot was walking round and round until the movie lasted 130 minutes). Which song would I suggest ? "One moment in time", the 1988 Seoul summer olympic games anthem.
For me, I'd have to break it down to at least fast and slow songs, and I'd like it even better if I got to pick by decade, too. And if remixes were added, then the list would change. Purists might also want to differiantiate between songs with videos and those without.
SO, after all that qualifying build-up, I will pick just 2 from my baby gay years: How Will I Know for the fast and You Give Good Love for the slow.
Yes! Mine are If I Told You That with George Michael, Heart Break Hotel and Same Script, Different Cast with Deborah Cox
OK, now I'm stupid; I meant to pick Saving All My Love (but You Give Good Love is still my second-best for slow song.)
The ones I chose to play when I heard the bad news were: I Have Nothing, and My Love Is Your Love.
I really want to understand this:
when someone famous dies, like MJ, I believe it's only appropriate that we have at least one day's inundation to mourn. I'm in South Africa so the biggest news is that the president promised a bunch of stuff. Woweee. This brings up two questions:
1. Why do ordinary people feel the need to mourn a great singer with others?
2. When you, David, die, how will I know? How will I know when to mourn?
Yes, I would mourn. I've been following you for about three years now. You're my daily bread.
Saving all my love to you was sung by me to a picture of my crush at the time and my goodness in my head I sounded just like Whitney. Also, My Love is Your Move just because I loved the beat but I have the greatest hits and I love them all...
Where and how does one even begin to pick a favorite Houston song?
Love will save the day. Got me through schoolboy crushes on unobtainable straight boys!
