Got Questions? The LeMays Have Answers...

Do you have questions and can't seem to find answers?? Well, the gals from the House of LeMay have something for you - a new phone app called Ask Some Drag Queens. Finally! Someone who'll tell it to you straight ... er ... um ... LIKE IT IS!!

The app is really simple - if you have a question you need answered, just ask! Then, select one of the girls to answer your question, and she'll give you one of over 100 snappy answers with very unpredictable results!

Ask Some Drag Queens is currently available on the Droid (download it HERE) - and will soon be available for the iPhone, iTouch, and iPad. AND a portion of the profits from this app will go toward helping cancer survivors! Check out their Facebook page HERE for more information.

Check out our good friend Amber LeMay SELLING IT during a recent trip to Times Square. Well, Amber wasn't selling IT - if you smell what I'm stepping in - she was DEMONSTRATING THE APP. Actually, on second thought, she might have been selling a little of IT on the side ... especially to those two cute Papis:

Anywhore ... what are you waiting for? Download Ask Some Drag Queens to your Droid NOW!

Amber LeMay Is Such a Doll

Darling DustBunny Amber LeMay needs our help - she is trying to become a Bobblehead for a baseball team.  Now get your minds out of the gutter, biatches.

The Vermont Lake Monsters minor league baseball team is having a contest.  They are looking for a Vermonter to immortalize in plastic and turn into a Bobblehead doll, which will be given out at their stadium on August 27th.  How cool would it be for that Bobblehead to be sporting a wig and tasteful jewelry?!?

Amber LeMay is one of the founders of Vermont's premiere drag troupe - the House of LeMay.  So she definitely satisfies the requirement that the winner have ties to Vermont.  In fact, I'd bet Amber has tied up quite a few (male) Vermonters.  And I'm sure the liquor store clerks in Amber's hometown of Beaver Pond will vouch for her DEEP commitment to the community.

Go HERE to check out Amber's blog post about the contest - but more importantly, go HERE and nominate Amber for plastic superstardom.

On a personal note, I would like to thank Amber (and Bob) for always being there for me.  XOXOXOXO

House of LeMay Blog Wins Award

Congratulations to the gals of the House of LeMay for winning a 2009 Seven Daysies Award for Best Non-Political Blog! Seven Days is the Vermont statewide alternative weekly - and this is the second time the LeMay girls have been nominated (and their first win). Check out the LeMay's award-winning blog HERE.

Speaking of our favorite Vermont Drag Queens, here is Amber LeMay's "friend" Bob posing in front of Roast Beef Heaven ...

In other LeMay news, a while back I did a "Name Your Gay Superhero" post and Bob Amber promised a copy of Slingbacks & Syrup (the fabulous documentary about the LeMays) to the winner. I am happy to report that our friend Frogponder is the winner with her suggestion of Lt. Dan Choi (below) as her favorite Gay Superhero. I couldn't agree more...

"Name Your Gay Superhero" Contest

In my last post I wrote about a bunch of anti-gay groups forming into one giant ball of vile hatred, in order to fight the "homosexual agenda". In that post I wondered what gay superhero would answer the call when we activated the "Gay Bat-Signal"...

Amber LeMay had a great idea - she is offering a FREE copy of Slingbacks and Syrup (the documentary about the House of LeMay) for anyone who can come up with a fierce gay superhero.

I will start, even though I'm ineligible to win - I already own a copy of the fabulous Slingbacks and Syrup!...

My gay superhero's name would be Miss Spent Youth. She is a drag queen, and her secret power is the ability to age a Ho 50 years with her withering gaze and a wave of her gloved hand.

Who is YOUR gay superhero? Leave a comment to be entered in the contest. Amber will select the winner, since she is providing the prize ...

Thank You Vermont!

Today Vermont became the first state to approve gay marriage via legislation (as opposed to court order). The people's representatives voted, the governor vetoed, and the legislature VOTED TO OVERRIDE HIS REPUBLICAN ASS! Way to go Vermont - you always seem to lead the way on this issue.

Conservatives complain about "activist judges" not listening to the "will of the people" when courts have approved gay marriage in other states. Well LISTEN UP, FUCKTARDS - the PEOPLE (via their elected representatives) made THIS decision.

I have a feeling Dust Bunny Amber and The LeMay girls (below) of Beaver Pond, VT will be getting drunker than usual this weekend...

Now I'm going to round up some Pure Maple Syrup and and a Hot Papi and do my own personal tribute to the great state of Vermont...

Slingbacks And Syrup

I have just seen the feel-good documentary of the decade! Slingbacks and Syrup, starring our very own Dust Bunny Amber LeMay (below), was recently a huge hit at the Vermont International Film Festival - and I can see why. It is funny, touching, and extremely entertaining. By the way - this was the only picture I could find where our dear Amber didn't have a drink in her hand...

Anywhoo, the documentary follows the "ladies" of the House of LeMay, a troupe of drag queens from the fictional Hot Damn Trailer Park in the fictional town of Beaver Pond, VT. The LeMay's story is told by filmmaker/director Russell Dreher, who met the LeMays during his graduate studies in Burlington, VT. Dreher tells us how this troupe of hilarious, outrageous, and GORGEOUS performers changed his life through their friendship.

We meet (from left to right, below) Lucy Belle LeMay, Amber, Marguarite LeMay, and Liza Little. We also get to meet the real men behind the mascara - and all the behind-the-scenes work they do to raise money and awareness for various charities and good causes.

For more information about the movie, go to the website HERE. And for more information on the House of Lemay (including their wonderful blog), click HERE.

Better yet - go HERE and purchase a copy of Slingbacks and Syrup for the drag queen/performer/glamour bitch in your life. It makes a perfect holiday gift or stocking stuffer.

Or, to purchase and watch on-line - go HERE. You'll be glad you did.

XOXO

The LeMay Girls Had Nothing To Do With It...

The gals of the House Of LeMay, a group of Vermont, um…SHOWGIRLS, put out a press release (click here to read) distancing themselves from the Eliot Spitzer mess. These girls – despite their history of interaction with political bigwigs – were NOT involved with the LUV GOV!

I originally saw this on Queerty, and I left a comment on the post. Well, the lovely and talented Amber LeMay sent me an email offering her “services”… Don’t be so dirty-minded Dust Bunnies! She noticed on my Blogger profile that I am an “Events Manager” (which I am), and let me know if I ever needed a bunch of “singing, sassy show girls” – I should give them a ring.

They are, in the immortal words of Mango: FIERCE.
