Tea Baggers Rally In Washington

The totally non-racist good Christian Tea Baggers held their second annual 9/12 Rally for a Whiter America SOMETHING yesterday.  And here are some of their totally peaceful, do-unto-others Christian signs.

BREAKING: Slavery is OK!!

At yesterday's Glenn Beck Restoring gHONORrhea Rally, they had a "no signs" rule, for obvious reasons...

But that didn't stop Cletus "Cooter" Cornhauler (top) from using his t-shirt to learn all the folks about the joys of slavery.  According to Mr. Cornhauler's Sunday church-going outfit, slavery is A-O.K. because black people did it too!!!  Yeah Slavery!!!  But a big "woopsie" on that whole Civil War thing, I guess.

Hat tip to Gawker, which notes that "Mauritania" is misspelled on Cletus' t-shirt.  D'oh!

"Hallowed Ground"

Blogger Daryl Lang took some pictures of other things located the same distance to Ground Zero as the "Ground Zero Mosque" would be.  He writes:

Look at the photos. This neighborhood is not hallowed. The people who live and work here are not obsessed with 9/11. The blocks around Ground Zero are like every other hard-working neighborhood in New York, where Muslims are just another thread of the city fabric.

At this point the only argument against this project is fear, specifically fear of Muslims, and that’s a bigoted, cowardly and completely indefensible position.

The Hits Just Keep Coming From The Sun Devil State

The Arizona state legislature approved a law last week which bans English teachers with heavy accents, and the teaching of Mexican-American Studies in public schools.

What if an English teacher had an Australian accent or a heavy British accent?  Would they be forced out of teaching???

How do these people live with themselves?  Sun Devils indeed...

Boycott Arizona!

I hope SOMEONE is organizing an economic boycott of Arizona in response to that state's new racist "Show Me Your Papers" law.  As mentioned last night on Keith Olbermann's show, Arizona was the last state to adopt Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a holiday - and only did so after losing tons of money due to boycotts.  Boycotts work.

YES, it sucks to punish the residents of Arizona for the racism of their (Republican) leaders - but maybe they'll think twice next time before voting for these radicals.
