Actually it wasn't a real voice message from Madonna. At the time of it's release Junior was working on some remixes with Canadian singer Kelly Bienvenue. She had a hit with 'Watcha Gonna Do' and she was the voice of Madonna on 'If Madonna Calls.' Which is worse, because he got someone to mimic her on a negative record about her.
Huh, I always thought it was a real message from Madonna as well. I still have this on my PC, though not currently on my mp3 player. It's actually a pretty good song, putting aside the dis on Madonna.
Wikipedia, which we all know is never wrong, says the versions he played in teh clubz was an actual sample, but for the released single he used Ms. Bienvenue (I'm sure there were legal issues). As I recall, this came out after his equally epic "Get Your Hands (Off My Man)". Work. It. OUT!
