70's Flashback - Schoolhouse Rock!

Any kid who watched the Super Friends (and the other cartoons) on ABC's Saturday morning cartoon lineup knows all about Schoolhouse Rock! And I'm betting you still remember the words - like I do.

Schoolhouse Rock! was a series of educational musical shorts that played on Saturday mornings on ABC in the 70's and 80's. They taught about Math and Science (I absolutely hated those), as well as Grammar and History (loved those).

Last night's series finale of Lost was extremely satisfying for me.  It was great to see all the old characters again - and even Vincent (the dog).  But the very end COMPLETELY baffled me.  Was everybody dead (or just Jack)?  How did everyone know to go to the church?  And why didn't Ben go inside?

Normally I rely on Tom and Lorenzo for their Lost recaps, but at the end of the finale they tweeted: "WHAT.THE.HELL?" - so maybe they don't have answers either.  UPDATE:  Tom and Lorenzo actually EXPLAIN THINGS BEAUTIFULLY this morning.

Any thoughts?

Lost - Across The Sea

Did anyone see this week's episode of Lost?  What did you think?

Seeing Allison Janney playing a violent "Mother Earth" (or whatever) was a little bit unnerving.  Janney will always be White House Press Secretary C.J. Craig from the West Wing to me - so seeing her killing people while wearing a bad wig was a little weird.  I kept expecting Toby or Leo to come in and yell at her.

I guess it was good to get the backstory on Jacob and his brother (who STILL doesn't have a name) - but the supernatural, almost Lord of the Rings-ishness of the episode just felt a little "off".

Did Anyone Watch Lost Last Night?

I spent 3 hours watching Lost last night, and my head STILL hurts.  I watched the one-hour "recap" show, followed by the 2-hour season premiere.  And I still have no clue what's going on.

Does John Locke = The Smoke Monster = The Devil????  I am so confused.

Here was Joe.My.God's "recap" of last night's show:

V on ABC

Did anyone see the pilot episode last week for "V" - the remake of the 80's miniseries of the same name? I caught it on Hulu over the weekend, and I was glad I did.

I LOVED the old "V" miniseries (above) when it was broadcast back in 1983, but I only recall two things from the original. First, the evil reptile leader Diana satifying her HONGRAYS with a delicious Guinea Pig...

And the shocking birth of the reptile "V Baby" ...

Who could forget that?!? V got HUGE ratings at the time, and 40 million Americans gasped in unison when they saw that green critter pop out. And to this day I STILL call ugly infants "V Babies".

The new V airs on ABC on Tuesdays at 8:00 pm. I'll definitely be watcing tonight.
