Facebook Remembers Everything
Facebook knows everything about you - and remembers it all. Forever...
From Gawker:
Across the pond, where regulators have teeth and where corporations don't get to rewrite the legal definition of "privacy," citizens can force Facebook to send them a dossier of everything it knows about them. Two anonymous Europeans have shared their database dumps publicly, Forbes reports. One of them ran to 880 pages.
Some of the things Facebook keeps track of:
- Records of all rejected friend requests.
- Records of the all the friends you unfriended over the years.
- A list of devices from which you log in to Facebook, plus a list of other users on those machines. Meaning Facebook knows who spent the night at your place last night.
- Records of all your "pokes" - and those who've "poked" you.
- Event invites and RSVPs.
- A history of messages and chats.
Yikes.

I Think I Joined Google+
But of course I have no idea what the hell you do with it. Kayce sent me an email with a link, and before I knew it I was signed up (I think). That's probably for the best, since I'm not a big fan of BookFace - so I'm sure I'll hate Google+ also. Anyone else signed up??
BTW - "Google Plus" sounds too much like Google for fat people. Is all I'm sayin'.
UPDATE: Based on the comments so far, apparently this was a coveted, by-invitation-only thing - in order to test Google+ (or something). Well, they're gonna hate me - because I've been a member now for a week or so and haven't done a damn thing with it. Oh well...

"The Urges" Is My Friend!!
My favorite NYC bar/lounge/"modern dance" (cough, cough) venue - The Urge Lounge - recently friended me on Facebook. Now if I could just convince someone to open an Arby's in Astoria, my life would be complete.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the most fabulous bar in NYC, check out a couple of my previous posts regarding "The Urges" HERE, HERE and HERE.
And if YOU would like to be their friend, do it HERE.

Don't "Friend" Your Side Piece On Facebook
20% of all divorce cases in the US cite evidence found on Facebook as grounds for the dissolution of marriage.
Moral of the story? If you're poking someone IRL who isn't your spouse, don't cyber-poke them on Facebook. You're welcome.

Sarah Palin's Facebook Account Gets Letterbombed
Clever Facebook users hijacked Sarah Palin's Facebook Wall in order to promote today's Jon Stewart/Steven Colbert rally in Washington D.C.
Awesomeness.

Fellow Facebook Haters: I Have Sinned Against You!
Many of you know that I'm NOT a fan of the BookFace - I always say that if someone wants to get in touch with me, they have my telephone number (or email address). Besides, maybe we've lost touch for a reason - like the fact that I haven't wanted to talk to you since 1985. Therefore I spend very little time on the Evil Facebook.
However, on Sunday I found myself spending an inordinate amount of time on BookFace - after I discovered how many of my cousins can be found there.
I have 7 cousins on my Dad's side, and 8 cousins on my Mom's side - and I'm not particularly close with any of them (with the exception of my youngest cousin Mollie). But unlike old friends you don't feel like talking to anymore, cousins are family and I would actually LIKE to stay in better contact with them. So after one of my PA cousins friended me, I went on a cousin-finding crusade and located many of them.
And I have to tell you, it wasn't horrible. But this DOESN'T mean I will help you get a new cow for your sorry-ass farm - don't even try it...

I LOVE This Idea - Carol Burnett for SNL Host
From Joe.My.God: After the successful Facebook campaign that got Betty White the Saturday Night Live hosting gig (and how fabulous was she, BTW?), there is a new push to get Carol Burnett the job.
I absolutely LOVE this idea. Can you imagine an updated "Went With The Wind" skit?...
... or a re-appearance of Mrs. Wiggins?...
Burnett has said she'd gladly host SNL, if asked. To join the Facebook group, go HERE.
