Wingnut teabaggers gathered in Washington, D.C. on Thursday to protest the Democrat's health care reform bill. One of the speakers at this meeting-of-the-crazies was John Ratzenberger - the actor who played Cliff Clavin on the TV sitcom Cheers.
According to CNN:
"These are Woodstock Democrats," Ratzenberg said at the rally. "We have to remember where their philosophy comes from. It doesn't come from America. It comes from overseas. It comes from socialism. And socialism is a philosophy of failure."
This is ironic on so many levels. First of all, pretty much ALL of the United States - the people, institutions, laws, etc. - come from overseas. I'm sure Ratzenberg's ancestors come from evil, commie-infested Overseasland. So ... WTF? That's the best you can do ... healthcare is bad because they have it overseas?!? Lame.
Furthermore, this is REALLY ironic coming from a second-rate actor who's only claim to fame is playing a government employee working for a socialistic government run agency - the United States Postal Service. Sounds like a pinko liberal commie to me...

He & Kelsey Grammer must have some fun discussions over drinks, huh?
I am ashamed that I ever enjoyed their shows...
FYI, feel free to complain to Pixar/Disney about John's comments. He has voiced a character in all of the Pixar features since the first one, Toy Story, and also has parts in TS 3 and Cars 2.
Tell it, David! What a disappointment he is.
LOL I loved your remarks on it, David. That pissed me off, too, and as I so eloquently put it on Facebook, John Ratzenberger can kiss my sweet ass. XOXO
