Broadway Break: Elaine Stritch - I'm Still Here

In honor of the fact that we all survived yesterday, here's Jack Donaghy's mom - AKA Elaine Stritch - performing I'm Still Here from the Steven Sondheim show Follies. This was part of Stritch's (who was in her mid-70's at the time) Tony Award-winning performance of her one-woman show At Liberty.

BTW - if you've never seen At Liberty, you must find it and watch it immediately. That's an order...

Burstyn, Mullally & Stritch - OH MY!

I never heard of The Ellen Burstyn Show (I was drunk at Penn State in 1986) - but Michael Musto dug up this old clip.  It features Ellen Burstyn as the Mom, Megan Mullally as the Daugher, and Elaine Stritch as the crotchety old Grandmother.  And WOW ... was it ever BAD.

With a cast like that, how could you fail? But FAIL they certainly did.
