Shawne Merriman Will Not Be Charged In Tila Beating

I posted last weekend about former Daddy of the Day and NFL linebacker Shawne Merriman being arrested for suspicion of domestic violence against his girlfriend, reality TV star Tila Tequila. According to the San Diego District Attorney, Merriman will not be charged:

"After a thorough review of the investigation into the Sept. 6, 2009 incident at the Poway home of Shawne Merriman, our office has determined there is insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that any crime was committed. The case is now closed."

According to DListed, Tila is already on Twitter complaining about the DA's decision - and looking for a new man.

Former Daddy of the Day - and San Diego Chargers linebacker - Shawne Merriman (above) was arrested on suspicion of choking and restraining reality TV star Tila Tequila (below) last night. Tequila ended up in the hospital, and Merriman remains in custody. Read the story HERE.

I'm just glad that the often-in-trouble Merriman was in a good mood when he met Project Runway's Christian Siriano back in April ...

Daddy Of The Day - Shawne Merriman

Yesterday while perusing Youtube I found a short NFL promotional video featuring Shawne "Lights Out" Merriman, and posted it on DavidDust. I had never heard of Mr. Merriman before (I don’t really follow football), but after seeing him I KNEW he was Daddy of the Day material.

Shawne is 23 years old, 6 ft. 4 in. tall, and weighs 272 lbs (HUGE!). He grew up in Maryland, attended the University of Maryland, and has been a linebacker for the San Diego Chargers since 2005.
