Is Anyone Else A "Shameless" Fan?

A friend of mine turned me onto Showtime's "Shameless" last weekend and OMG is it ever good! In the past week I managed to watch the entire 2nd season via Showtime On Demand.

Shameless is the story of perhaps the most dysfunctional - yet functioning - family you will ever see. Seriously - if you've ever thought your family was messed up, just watch Shameless and you'll find out how good you really have it.

As an added bonus, Shameless features a bunch of cute guys and Joan Cusak (below). What more could you ask for??

Watch The Season Four Premiere Of Nurse Jackie

Nurse Jackie is one of my favorite shows, and the first episode of this upcoming season does not disappoint. Watch the entire thing - courtesy of Showtime - above.

Nurse Jackie's "Mo-Mo" = No Mas!

I LOVE the show Nurse Jackie - and I really love Jackie's 'Main Gay' - Mohammed "Mo-Mo" De La Cruz, played by the sexy Haaz Sleiman.  Unfortunately there will be no mo' Mo-Mo when Season Two premieres in March.

Originally Mo-Mo was supposed to be the best friend of the title character (played to perfection by Edie Falco) - but the show didn't evolve that way.  By the end of the season, other characters filled that role and poor Mo-Mo was basically there to interject campy quips into Nurse's Station conversations.  Therefore, Showtime told Mo-Mo it was time to go-go (read the story HERE).

That's really a shame - I will definitely miss Haaz's sexiness and Mo-Mo's quick wit...

Daddy Of The Day - Nicholas Gonzalez

Nicholas Gonzalez is an actor who was born in Texas 32 years ago. He has an English degree from Stanford Universtity - and spent two terms at Oxford University (England) and Trinity College (Dublin, Ireland). While in Ireland he completed a thesis on James Joyce's Ulysses.

Gonzalez has been steadily working as an actor since moving to Los Angeles in 1998. He is perhaps best known for his role as Alex Santiago on Showtime's Resurrection Blvd. He also starred in the movie The Princess and the Barrio Boy. No, he didn't play the princess - but he did recently play a gay boytoy for vampires on True Blood.

It's Showtime For Studio 54

According to Towleroad, Showtime is developing a series about Studio 54 - the legendary NYC disco. I can't wait to see the cute busboys in their short-shorts!

Studio 54 is still there - and now operates as a Broadway theater. In 1994, it reopened briefly as a nightclub. I went once or twice on gay night (it is only a few blocks away from my apartment) - but the club was empty and boring.

I would have never thought "empty" and "boring" would ever be used to describe Studio 54, but in this case those two words were appropriate. Shortly after the nightclub idea failed, they changed it into a theater - the space's original function. Studio 54 has housed Broadway productions ever since.
