Reality TV Roundup

Time for another DavidDust Reality Television Roundup...

First of all, you MUST read Tom & Lorenzo's mid-season REPORT CARD for The Fashion NO. If Andy Cohen and the powers-that-be don't listen to EVERY word, then Bravo shouldn't even think about doing a Season 2.

Finally! The cast of Lifetime's Project Runway was announced today. Please go to our friends at Blogging Project Runway to find out more about the new batch of fashiontestants (below).

Time for some NYC Prep...

Even though I can't stand the show, one of the only interesting things about NYC Prep is watching "PC" (above). My gaydar went crazy when I saw him on the show a couple of weeks ago, and I guess I was right. This week's episode featured PC and his old boarding school buddy, JP. PC described the two of them as having a "bromance", but whether this young gayling realizes it or not, in his case it's a "romance".

In the episode, PC described JP (below) as "the most beautiful Mexican". Coincidentally (?), PC has said that he will NOT be doing interviews regarding NYC Prep. I wonder if he's worried about his trust fund??? Read more HERE.

Moving on ... the cast of Top Chef Las Vegas was announced yesterday. Go to All Top Chef to check it out. Top Chef Las Vegas will premiere on August 26th - which happens to be my birthday! Can you say: DRUNKEN RECAP?!?

And finally, look for my Top Chef Masters mini-recap later this afternoon.

White Meat Monday: Your Cheating Heart Edition

Top Chef's Hosea Responds - from BravoTV.com

Jan 23, 2009 2:28 PM

First things first: None of us signed any contracts forbidding contact with the other cheftestants. We did not break any rules.

Now that that's out of the way, I'd like to offer my apologies to anyone who was offended or upset by my actions. It is impossible to explain what life is like under these circumstances to anyone who has not experienced it. It may have been the pressure, the stress, or just the surreal-ness of living in a bubble for six weeks, but sometimes you don't act like yourself.

I am an honest, caring, and good person. My dearest friends and family know me for who I am. The public knows me as someone who cheats on his girlfriend. I'll have to live with that. I just hope that anyone out there who is easy to point the finger looks deeply inside themselves and can honestly say they haven't ever wronged someone. Or done something that they're ashamed of. Cast the first stone.

Do I regret it? You bet. Did it throw off my game? Of course. Have I thought about it every day since? Yes. What can I do? Nothing.

When I returned home, I told my girlfriend - one of the sweetest women on earth - what happened. She was willing to forgive me. Our relationship was never the same. We are no longer together. So I have to live with my mistakes and try and grow as a person from it. I am still very happy that I participated in Top Chef. It was an amazing experience that taught me a lot. I hope that it is my food and not my actions that are remembered once the show is over. I came to New York to cook. I made some great dishes and made some wonderful friends. At the end of the day, it is still all about the food.

Notice how Hosea isn't still claiming that all he and Leah did was "flirt" or "kiss"? I think he should come completely clean and admit to having hot monkey butt sex with his "buddy" Leah.

Thanks to the anonymous Dust Bunny who alerted me to this.

Top Cheftestant Gets Married

Sam Talbot, 30, married his girlfriend at City Hall here in NYC this week. Many of you will remember Sam as the heartthrob hottie of Top Chef Season 2.

Here is Sam with the lucky Ho - Paola Guerro - who is originally from Columbia ...

Thanks to our friends at Blogging Top Chef for the head-up. Unfortunately, I'm not sure Chef Biatch at BTC will ever smile again now that Sam is off the market.

Up, Up And AWAY For Thanksgiving

I will be leaving bright and early tomorrow morning for the land of my birth - Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Therefore, posting will probably be lighter than usual. I will return on Tuesday.

As far as Top Chef goes, I have every intention of watching it tomorrow night and posting my usual recap. However, that whole process may be delayed by a day or two, since I will be shoving food down my gullet all day and night Thursday. For everything Top Chef-related, visit our friend Chef Biatch and the crew over at Blogging Top Chef.

Top Chef New York - Tonight!

My darling Dust Bunnies - it's that time again. Time for the the deliciousness that is Top Chef. And to make things even better - the show takes place in NYC this season.

I am committed to recapping Top Chef this season, but tonight I will be protesting outside the Mormon Temple on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The Mormons have pissed off Teh Gays by providing the money and manpower to pass Proposition H8 in California - and we're gonna tell 'em how we feel. I will make every attempt to get in front of my television in time to take notes for a recap, but I'm not making any promises. And to you neophyte Dust Bunnies, NO - I do not own a DVR/Tivo/VCR/Etc. If I don't see the show "live and in person", then I have missed it.

Please keep in mind that the first episode recap is always the worst one - we don't yet know everyone's personalities, and there are too many cheftestants to keep track of. So if I miss the first episode, it won't kill us. Let's hope that further Prop 8 protests aren't scheduled on Wednesday evenings.
