Dubya Gets Slimed - Treats Bubba Like A Towel
Former presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton traveled to Haiti recently as part of their ongoing humanitarian mission to aid earthquake victims.
But as you can see in this video, Dubya gets skeeved after shaking a real live Haitian's hand, and wipes it on Bill Clinton's sleeve. Smooth move, Ex Lax.
George W. Bush - keeping it classy on an INTERNATIONAL level, as usual.

Dubya Speaks In Central PA

Preznit George W. Bush appeared in my hometown on Tuesday - and nobody threw any shoes.
The President made a speech in Thorpe Hall at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Thorpe Hall is named after Olympic Athlete Jim Thorpe, who was educated at the Carlisle Indian School - which was located on the site that is now the War College. See the coverage from the Carlisle Sentinel (for which I was a paperboy as a youth) HERE.
One of the good things about having the War College in my town was the fact that we got to go to school with the children of the Army officers. So we made friends with kids who had traveled the world - and not just to Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. Unfortunately, some of these well-traveled Army Brats were pompous asses - but then again some of us locals were stupid hicks. So we kind of balanced each other out.

Will Bush Pardon His "Cronies"?

There has been a lot of talk that during his final days in office, President Bush may issue a "blanket pardon" for anyone in his administration who broke the law by following official administration policies (torture, domestic spying, etc).
My Congressman, Rep. Jerrold Nadler, chairman of the Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties, introduced H.R. 1531 in Congress Friday. The resolution, according to a press release from the Congressman..

...is in response to President Bush’s widespread abuses of power and potentially criminal transgressions against our Constitution. The Resolution aims to prevent undeserved pardons of officials who may have been co-conspirators in the President’s unconstitutional policies, such as torture, illegal surveillance and curtailing of due process for defendants.
"This Resolution declares that we will not tolerate a last minute attempt by President Bush to shelter his cronies – cronies who may well be guilty of serious criminal offenses – from the full force of the law," said Rep. Nadler. "President Bush must not excuse his own officials from possibly illegal acts committed outside the context of their official duties. Such pardons would merely obfuscate the truth and amount to a gross miscarriage of justice."
I LOVE Rep. Nadler and the fact that he has the balls to introduce official legislation that uses the word "cronies", and calls Dubya out for his illegal bullshit. Bravo Jerry!!!

What Recession...?

Preznit Bush is in Manhattan right now lying to the New York Economic Club ("we're not in a recession!") and screwing up midtown traffic. Why doesn't he just go away!?! And how in the HELL is he qualified to address a bunch of Economists?!?
That is SUCH a New York City thing to bitch about the traffic. Every single event or incident (snowstorms, presidential visits, parades, etc.) in this city is judged by what it will do to the traffic...and most of us DON'T DRIVE! :)
