John Mellencamp to NOM: Stop Using "Pink Houses" to Promote Hate!

A great story from the good people at Prop 8 Trial Tracker. It seems that the bigots of NOM have been using John (he'll always be 'Cougar' to me) Mellencamp's song, Pink Houses at their sparsely attended rallies. When he learned this not-so-surprising news, Mellencamp (through his publicist) sent NOM the following message (partially reprinted):

I am getting in touch with you on behalf of my client John Mellencamp who has become aware that his music (“Pink Houses”) has been used at events sponsored by your organization. Please be aware that Mr. Mellencamp’s views on same sex marriage and equal rights for people of all sexual orientations are at odds with NOM’s stated agenda.

We would encourage you to find music from a source more in harmony with your views than Mr. Mellencamp in the future.

How Many NOMo's Does It Take To Screw In A Lightbulb?

How many NOM (National Organization for Marriage) supporters does it take to screw in a lightbulb:

• None, god already did it in Genesis when he said “Let there be light”. Besides, lightbulbs are a product of science, and therefore satanic.

• None, we aren’t small enough to fit inside a lightbulb, and screwing outside of marriage is wrong.

• Two - and they must be a man & a woman. If they are a same sex couple, the light bulb and the Universe will explode.

• None…if we all pray hard enough the light bulb will see the error of it’s ways and change itself.

• Only a clear majority of seven million Californians have the constitutional right to change the light bulb.

NOM's Solution For Gay Marriage - KILL GAY PEOPLE

As you may or may not know, the National Organization for Morons Marriage (AKA "The Hate Hags") are currently on a nationwide bus van tour "protecting" opposite marriage.  And since they literally haven't attracted more than 3 dozen supporters (max) at each stop, NOM has taken the opportunity to play victim to all the hateful "homofacists" who outnumber their supporters at NOM rallies - saying OUR side is filled with hate, not theirs.  NOM allegedly even slashed their own tires, then sent out an "emergency" fundraising email to help raise money for their cause.  Whatever happened to Triple-A Roadside Assistance, you scuzzbags?!?

But two can play the "victim" game.  Check out the sign that one man brought to a NOM rally in Indianapolis...

OH MY GOD, ALL OPPOSITE MARRIAGE SUPPORTERS WANT TO LYNCH GAY PEOPLE.  HELP!!!! HELP!!!!!!
