Star Trek: Gay, Gay, Gay then "Awwwwww"
Gay
Gay
Gay
James: "I got a fan letter, from a young lady. It was a suicide note. So I uh, I called her. I said, ‘Hey this is Jimmy Doohan. Scotty of Star Trek.’ I said,‘I’m doing a con in Indianapolis. I want you to be there.’ I saw her and, I couldn’t believe what I saw. She was definitely suicidal. Somebody had to help her somehow. And obviously she wasn’t going to the right people. Anyhow I said, ‘I’m doing a convention two weeks from now in St. Louis.’ Two weeks from then and something and then she came to New York. And she was able to afford to go to these places. And this went on for two or three years. Maybe eighteen times. And all I did was talk to her, positive things. And then all of a sudden, ZIP. Nothing. I didn’t hear anything I didn’t know what was happening cause I never saved her address. Eight years later I get a letter saying, ‘I do want to thank you so much for what you did for me, because I just got my masters in electronic engineering.’ You know, to me, thats the best thing I have ever done in my life. And it brings tears to my eyes every time I even talk about the story".Awwwwwwwwwww ...
BTW - I had no idea there was so much gay subtext on Star Trek. Did watching Kirk, Spock and fierce Lt. Uhura as a child turn me gay??...

That's SIR Captain Jean-Luc Picard
Patrick Stewart got knighted by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on Wednesday at Buckingham Palace.
I'm sorry, but every time I see a knighting ceremony, all I can think of is the Bugs Bunny episode called Rabbit Hood (above). It's the one where Bugs, dressed as The King, bestows phony titles upon The Sheriff of Nottingham - each time banging the Sheriff in the head with his sceptre...
Sheriff: *bows* Bugs: “Arise, Sir Loin of Beef!” *strikes Sheriff over the head* “Arise, Earl (oil) of Cloves!” *strike* “Arise, Baron of Münchhausen!” *strike* “Arise, Essence of Myrrh!” *strike* “Milk of Magnesia” *strike* “Quarter of Ten…” *strike* Sheriff: (dazed, slurred) “You are too kind, your majesty.” Bugs: (to audience) “Got lots of stamina!”

Star Trek Computer Finally Arrives

According to Americablog, the Star Trek computer has arrived:
The biggest internet revolution for a generation will be unveiled this month with the launch of software that will understand questions and give specific, tailored answers in a way that the web has never managed before....
Wolfram Alpha will not only give a straight answer to questions such as "how high is Mount Everest?", but it will also produce a neat page of related information – all properly sourced – such as geographical location and nearby towns, and other mountains, complete with graphs and charts.
The real innovation, however, is in its ability to work things out "on the fly", according to its British inventor, Dr Stephen Wolfram. If you ask it to compare the height of Mount Everest to the length of the Golden Gate Bridge, it will tell you. Or ask what the weather was like in London on the day John F Kennedy was assassinated, it will cross-check and provide the answer. Ask it about D sharp major, it will play the scale. Type in "10 flips for four heads" and it will guess that you need to know the probability of coin-tossing. If you want to know when the next solar eclipse over Chicago is, or the exact current location of the International Space Station, it can work it out.
That's all fine and good, but I'm waiting for the Star Trek food replicator ... where all you have to do is tell it what you were hungry for, and your meal appeared. This, my friends, is a fat bitches DREAM...

You KNOW what I would have my replicator make for me every day...

I'm thinking Arby's!

"I've Got To Have MORE TIME, Captain!!!"...

Only Star Trek geeks like me will understand the title and picture above, but oh well. Anywhoo, I haven't even STARTED my Top Chef recap (work, work, work!), so don't expect it to be posted until this evening. Also, don't expect it to be funny, 'cause last night was a little DRY...until the last 2 minutes.
XOXOXO
