Aretha Franklin Engaged - Not Pregnant

According to CNN, The Queen of Soul is getting married - but it's not a shotgun wedding...

Legendary soul singer Aretha Franklin is engaged to her "longtime friend and confidant," William 'Willie' Wilkerson, Franklin's spokeswoman said in a statement. 

The "forever friends" are thinking about getting married in Miami Beach, Florida, with a reception afterward aboard a luxury yacht, the statement added. 

"We're looking at June or July for our date and no I'm not pregnant, LOL!" Franklin said in the statement.

I just hope President Obama is invited and wears THE HAT...

Bacon Explosion + THE HAT = Perfection

Dust Bunny Dan just blogged about The Bacon Explosion - and said he might actually try to make one over the weekend. If so, we want a full report!

But then Joe.My.God. posted a picture of The Bacon Explosion wearing THE HAT, and I almost spit my Diet Dr. Pepper onto my computer monitor. Perfection.

As you can imagine, without even thinking about it I immediately zoomed onto THE ONE TRUE HAT. Long may it reign.

If you zoom in close enough, you can see where the various photos were digitally spliced together - creating little image warbles. For instance, if you look at Aretha and THE HAT, you will see that their fabulousness wiped out the top half of Rick Warren's fat head. Fierce.

The Era Of THE HAT Has Begun...

Dust Bunny Bob recently commented that we might be the year of THE HAT on the Chinese calender - due to my obsession with Aretha's inaugural headgear. I think Bob is onto something, so I hereby officially announce that 2009 will be the BunnyNation Year of THE HAT. THE HAT will bring us much joy and prosperity - long live THE HAT!!
