Tyger! Tyger! burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
- William Blake, "The Tyger"
As a fellow cat person, I've always been very partial to the tigers when it comes to the big cats. Lions are cool (and from a behavioral biology POV, I am fascinated by the group living in prides), but I think you just don't fu(k with tigers; they do evil (or perhaps amorality) very well in literature and animation.
Not sure if you watch "The Mentalist" on CBS, but the poem I referenced above plays some (mostly unknown, or maybe just misunderstood by ME) part in the back-story serial killer arc of that show. And the show is stuffed with hotties for almost all tastes, so it makes for nice eye candy no matter what turns you on.
Also, William Blake is apparently quite an inspiration for fictional (we hope, anyway) serial killers; he also painted the Great Red Dragon series which was instrumental in Thomas Harris's Red Dragon (both novel and film).
So how I've rambled on from a fun post about breakfast cereal into serial killers, I'm not sure. Might be time to get my med re-evaluated!
