Jack Bauer - In NYC, Following Me on Twitter...
Jack is back - and this season he is in New York City. Also, for some reason, he is following me on Twitter...
Maybe Jack is interested in my coverage of the Brooklyn Arby's opening?!?
Anywhore, I watched the 2-hour season premiere of 24 last night, and plan on watching the next two hours tonight. If you haven't figured it out by now, I LOVES me some 24. And I love Keifer Sutherland - who I once saw on the street in front of my job.
As an added bonus, 24's producers have cast total cutie Freddie Prinze, Jr. (above) as a CTU agent - because Jack Bauer must have a hot Papi sidekick for some reason (Carlos Bernard, Freddie). I may not know why this is, but I would like to thank the producers for the additional eye candy.
But after watching dear Freddie last night, I remembered how bad of an actor he was/is. He is SO lucky to be so cute - and to be married to all that Buffy money...
Did anyone else watch 24 last night? What did you think?

Happy Birthday to Kiefer Sutherland
Happy 43rd Birthday to Kiefer Sutherland - who plays the awesome Jack Bauer on the awesome show 24. Speaking of 24 ... Season 8 premieres on Jan 17th and I cannot wait! But is it just me, or does it seems like there will be A LOT of good television on all at the same time - starting in January?
Anywhore, you may remember I had the pleasure of walking past Kiefer on the street back in September.

I KNEW Speedle Was a Good Guy!

In my DVR-less world, I've had to choose between Heroes and 24 this season (they both air on Monday's at 9:00 PM) - and I've chosen to watch 24. Heroes has lost its magic for me - and I can never get enough of Jack Bauer kicking ASS.
I was so thrilled to find out that Carlos Bernard (below) was back on 24 this season, playing Tony Almeida. At first it seemed that Tony was working for the terrorists - but Tony Almeida could never be a bad guy, and we soon saw his true (good guy) colors.

I was also happy to see former CSI: Miami actor Rory Cochrane (below) this season on 24 - although he too was initially playing on Team Terror. I loved Cochrane when he played Tim Speedle on CSI: Miami - he was snarky, unkempt, and a little nerdy - but somehow it worked. I cried my eyes out when "Speed" died.

So I was extra-super-duper excited to see Rory's character embrace the good guys and team up with Almeida on 24 last night. Tim Speedle would never let me down...
UPDATE: I didn't get to see the ending of the show last night, and now I'm hearing that Cochrane's character is still a bad guy! Is this true?? Damn that 24, with its' plot twists!!

Good TV Night

24 continued it's new season on Fox last night with another 2-hour episode. I KNEW Tony Almeida (above) wasn't a bad guy! And I was so happy to see Chloe (below) behind her omnipotent computer terminal. Why doesn't Chloe just hack into the Treasury Department and wire some of those TARP funds into a Swiss bank account and retire? You KNOW she could do it and never get caught.

Then there was a new episode of CSI: Miami - featuring one of the hottest papis on TV, Adam Rodriguez ("Eric Delko" - below).

I wonder if this will be the season when Calleigh and Eric (below) finally get together?...

True Facts About Jack Bauer

Harry Houdini is the world's second greatest escape artist. The First is Jack Bauer. I never saw Houdini bite a guy's neck in order to escape.
Kiefer Sutherland drinks to forget all the terrible things Jack Bauer has done.
Jack Bauer once forgot where he put his keys. He then spent the next half-hour torturing himself until he gave up the location of the keys.
Jack Bauer sleeps with a gun under the pillow. But he could kill you with the pillow.
Jack and Jill went up the hill. Only Jack came down. Jill was a fucking terrorist.
And here is one that only true fans of the show will understand:
If Jack Bauer was in a room with Hitler, Stalin, and Nina Meyers, and he had a gun with 2 bullets, he'd shoot Nina twice.
Check out the entire hilarious list of Jack Bauer "Facts" HERE.

Jack Is Back

I LOOOOVE 24, and was extremely excited to watch 24: Redemption last night. The show has been absent for almost 2 years because of production issues and the writer's strike, so Redemption was intended to get everyone up to speed before the January 11th premier. Kiefer Sutherland shot, stabbed and yelled his way through two hours of ass-kicking. BTW, did you ever notice that Jack Bauer yells "DO IT NOW!!!" at least once every episode?
Anywhoo, they also introduced the new President of the United States, played by Broadway veteran (and out lesbian) Cherry Jones:

The biggest shocker (for me) was at the end when they showed a preview montage of the upcoming season. Somehow, Tony Almeida (played by hottie Carlos Bernard - below) is back from the dead, and he's now a BAD GUY!!!

We also learn that C.T.U. has been disbanded, and my absolute favorite character - Chloe (Played by Mary Lynn Rajskub, below) - is now a stay-at-home Mom!!

Jack Bauer Kitties

The writer's strike is pretty much over, however one of my favorite shows - 24 - won't be back this year. I'll have to wait until January to see how Jack will save the world this time.
