Want To Hear My Deepest Thoughts & Darkest Feelings?

For the first time in 6 months I’m not going to therapy. My therapist Nate - not his real name - was an intern with GMHC and his internship ended - leaving me high and dry and without someone to talk to each week. And since GMHC decided that my particular brand of cray-cray didn’t require immediate reassignment, I’m now on a waiting list until they can find me someone else. Anyone out there want to volunteer?

To whomever my new therapist may be - let me warn you. We are going to talk a lot about me being fat. A LOT. “Fat fat fat” … “me me me” is how a typical therapy session with moi usually goes. And then we talk about me being fat some more. And how I FEEL about being fat. It’s riveting stuff.

Surprisingly, I found out I’m not much of a cryer. In fact, I only cried once during all my sessions with Nate (and believe it or not, it had nothing to do with me being fat). So, basically, I’m upset about being fat but I don’t want to cry about it … just talk and talk and talk and talk.

In all seriousness, I think one of the reasons I haven’t been writing much about my life on the blog is because I had Nate to talk to about all my drama. But now that Nate’s gone, ya’ll might be hearing more about what’s going down in Bunnyland.

Did I mention that I’m fat?? Fat fat fat … me me me...

Therapy Day

So I've been seeing a Therapist now for about a month (every Tuesday), and it seems to be going well. Although it has certainly opened my eyes to how many issues I have - and how complicated all these issues really are. In other words: BEEYOTCH BE KA-RAZIE! Which is certainly what's written in my official file.

Anywhore, we talk about various topics, but we discuss my blog - and specifically YOU, my beloved Dust Bunnies - a lot. And the verdict seems to be that this whole blogging thing is an extremely positive part of my life - as are all of you.

As if I needed a professional to tell me THAT  :)

XOXOXOXOXOXO

My First Therapy Session - Today

Today I have my very first therapy session EVER - and I'm a little nervous. The idea of pouring out my heart to a complete stranger seems very weird.

I've been going to the Shrink regularly - but she doesn't really do talk therapy. She does meds and coordinates with my Doc and my Therapist. Basically, She's Head Beeyotch in Charge of my (crazy) Head.

The Therapist, on the other hand, is kind of a mystery to me. Since I've never don't this before, all I have to go by is what I've seen in movies and on TV.

One good thing - it's completely free (unlike my Shrink, which costs me a $75 copay for each visit - ouch). Therapy, on the other had, is done free-of-charge through Gay Men's Health Crisis.

Wish me luck...

UPDATE: Everything went fine XOXOXOXOXO

The Next Drag Queen Superstar...

Courtesy of Towleroad, this is Bebe Zahara Benet (above) and her ad for L.A. Eyeworks - part of her grand prize for winning RuPaul's Drag Race.

And here is Bebe channeling Shirley Bassey (who is channeling Pink) at the party to which I did not receive an invitation...

They Didn't Call Me...

According to Queerty, RuPaul's Drag Race held a Grand Finale/Reunion viewing event at the Hell's Kitchen bar Therapy on Monday night. Therapy happens to be 1/2-block from my apartment.

Note to Absolute Vodka, M.A.C. Cosmetics, the Logo Network, and the people at RuPaul's Drag Race: maybe I could get an invite next time?!? After all, I worked tirelessly plugging your fabulous show. Which I was HAPPY to do, of course. Just saying...

Maybe Rebecca Glasscock (top) got my name nixed from the list. Check out more pictures from the event (you know, the one I wasn't invited to) HERE. And check out my recap of the Grand Finale/Reunion show HERE.
