In a surprise move, President Barack Obama was just awarded the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize. Cue crazed shrieking from Outer Wingnuttistan in 3 ... 2 ... 1 ... TRUST ME, conservative assticklers will try to figure out a way to make winning a Nobel Peace Prize a BAD thing.

I hate to admit it, but I'm waiting to see how the ConservaNutPublicans spin this one!
XOXOXOXOX
Yes. In fact, this will be fuel to the "Obama as Antichrist" fire. The perfect shit-storm just got messier.
They have already started, but seem a little bit "stunned", as I think POTUS was.
Some are saying he may refuse?...and some of these are people on the left.
It seems no one really knows how to process this.....but, I think his speech was gracious and hit just the right note. Congrats to our President.

My own liberal reaction is "WTF?" Sorry, but I don't see that he's really done anything in the last 9 months, much less deserve the frickin Nobel Peace Prize!
Just my opinion. :)
XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO
I think it is ridiculous that any American would be upset that their President won the Nobel Peace Prize. You may have given it to someone else, but it's not your choice and it was a UNANIMOUS decision by the council! I think that speaks for itself. Maybe they gave it to him on the hope that he would do great things. Who knows, it was their choice and we should be proud to say that OUR PRESIDENT was awarded such an amazing thing like the NPP. I think we should stop complaining and start celebrating, so congrats President Barack Obama on being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize!
I'm waiting too, this is a slap in their faces for cheering about the Olympics loss
I am thrilled! This speaks volumes for how the rest of the world feels about him and for the previous administration. I'm proud of him and proud for us and am going to enjoy the euphoria before the #D's of the world start in on him. At least she won't do it on my blog this time!
I love it. Naturally, the rightwingers are hatin' on him for THIS, too...something he didn't apply for and had no control over. As Joy pointed out, it shows how much the rest of the world appreciates him after 8 crummy year. XOXO Beth
I think the Nobel Prize is an honor for the President, he was very gracious about accepting it.
