I recorded it to watch later. We had a major disaster here but I hit record as we ran out of the house. (Happy, but expensive, ending to our latest remodeling expense)

He said a lot of the same things my dad said to me on Friday morning. Sorry but I don't think much more can top the feeling that I got upon hearing my father's words.

Very moving. I actually thought Keith himself was going to tear up.....

Thank you Keith O!

I hope if he gets any shit on Sunday from the he-men of NBC Sports he lets them have it.

I'm officially addicted to 2 hours of MSNBC each night - Keith and Rachel for King and Queen!!

[OT, it was so satisfying to hear Rachel say that letting LIEberman in the Senate and his Committees as is would make Barack look like a "wuss" (exact quote). Word.]

Okay. Got settled in and watched the recording. He said it all, didn't he? I can't think that anyone could find an answer to that.

And there are relationships, of 20-30 years, in my family. There are children being raised. There are extended families all meshed together. It's working. So where is the harm that supposedly would happened? Why didn't my extended family implodea years and years ago when we welcomed our aunts and added aunts into our tribe of crazy relatives. How did my parents stay married 50 plus years with this going on?!?! How did The Engineer and I last 30 years with our two sets of aunts and aunts-in-law. If their relationships suddenly became legal - is that the danger? Would our marriages suddenly disappear?
I don't get it!

God bless him, Keith gets it. I saw it on the show, and watched it a few times since. Thanks for giving another chance to see it.

Fantastic, passionate, sound logic, irrefutable, eloquent, and the truth. a great find David and I think you for posting it. I probably would not have gotten it any other way.
I will be meeting with Mormon friends tonight, who don't go along with all Mormon policies. They accept me totally and I taught all their kids.Undoubtedly we will talk about this but I will also forward this to them.

I saw this on the first broadcast, and then caught it again later in the evening on the rerun. I agree with ALL of you - and it made me weep, too. Twice. Whatever else anyone might think of Keith Olbermann (I personally think he's a fucking genius), you have to give it to him for articulating the core of this issue with a clarity and compassion we rarely see in the media anymore. Or in our politicians. Or, most sadly, in each other. Mad props to Keith.

My husband watched the video before I did (I left the page open and he surprised me by finding it interesting enough to watch) and everything Keith said is so true. Not too long ago, my marriage would not have been legal and I wouldn't have my little girl. Why deprive others of the same happiness that we have? It doesn't make sense to me, and I don't think it ever will. I guess all we have left is to keep fighting until everyone has the right to marry whom they love.

To paraphrase Prince Lear from my favorite movie, people love whom they love. And what's wrong with that?
