Annise Parker Elected Houston's Next Mayor

From the Houston Chronicle:
Annise Danette Parker was elected mayor of Houston on Saturday, winning her seventh consecutive city election and becoming both the first contender in a generation to defeat the hand-picked candidate of Houston's business establishment and the first openly gay person to lead a major U.S. city.

Congratulations to Ms. Parker! But I would like to remind her that it was probably the ever-important endorsement of the DavidDust Editorial Board that put her over the top. If you remember, DavidDust officially endorsed Annise Parker yesterday.

And in case you're wondering who else (besides me) is on the Editorial Board - it is a three-member panel consisted of myself and these two...

Although Dusty (left) and Ocsar (right) usually sleep through the meetings.

Dusty and Oscar deserve the rest after all they did to get Parker elected!

I think she had you and Oscar in her camp all along. It was Dusty's decision to influence the wino vote that put her over the edge! We have lots of winos in Houston, so they form an important bloc!

To all my bigoted pro-business anti-people rednecks in Houston: IN YOUR MUTHERFCUKING FACES!!!

Sleeping though the meetings is preferable to many things they could be doing. Miss Brigit the Blonde Diva has ways of diverting all the attention to her.

I heard about the victory this morning on NPR. Yay!! You've become quite the Twitterer (Tweeter?)!!

I think Dusty and Oscar need a kitty treat for all their hard work. The Labrador Girls are lobbying for their own editorial board now. Look what you've started!!

Thats great news isn't! While those two were sleeping you were probably drinking too I suppose? I'm so over cookies for one days now. Back to the grind.

XOXOXOXOXOXOXOX-

Once she received David Dust's endorsement, I knew she would win. Just before the voting ended, a fog settled over Houston. Sort of like San Francisco. Just sayin'.
